  1. Hey guys, just a question i was hoping to get some advice about Firstly my car is a manual r33 series 2 gtst Recently rebuilt the top end due to the compressor wheel going on an adventure inside the engine and fitted a highflow stock turbo As of about few weeks after the car turns off by itself when in neutral after coming down from revs. Sometimes it will almost turn off but wont, tacho shows it drops to like 100 rpm then quickly jumps back to normal idle. Only does it when you put it in neutral after having revs or if you were to say chnage gear really slowly so its not a big issues as long as its in gear, also hesitates sometimes in high revs. AFM or need a tune or any suggestions? Cheers
  2. Decent condition r33 gtr rims x 4 17 inch 2 with great tread 2 with no tread 1000 bucks
  3. more power isnt really an issue i just dont want another stock turbo to shit itself and dont want to spend even more money on a tune p.s where can you get a 500 dollar nistune?!?!??!? a friend of mine pain 1200? also how much would just changing the rear wheel cost ?
  4. yeah that would have been the plan if i didnt do some serious motor damage when the turbo went, so now im up for mass coin thats why hiflow would be good if i got the same or some performance? then later on i can get an ecu, injectors etc and make good power without changing the turbo again
  5. how would the car perform with the highflow turbo and no tune? I will post a photo of my turbo for more understanding haha
  6. yes i have massive trust issues with the r33 stock turbo, as it went and the motor ate the compressor wheel and it apparently didnt taste good. so looks like high flow or nothing at this stage, estimated price to high flow a 33 turbo also can anyone give me more info on the 34 turbo? also my 33 turbo went while i was running 9psi, hasnt run anything more in the time that ive owned it either ...
  7. Hmmm greaaaaaat, so all or nothing then hhey saw on a thread somewhere that someone was making 200kws with a hks something, I have ... or had 187 with stock turbo so I thought I could get away with something without a tune? Surely you wouldn't tune for 13 kws ?
  8. What turbos can I put into my r33 series 2 without a tune ? Is there any aftermarket turbo of a simular size ? I don't really trust stock 33 turbos anymore lol.. Cheers
  9. thanks guys, would everyone all agree not to buy a brand new Chinese branded one? at this stage i think it would still be better than a used standard one
  10. looking for some advice. Recently blew both sides of my stock r33 turbo (ceramic dump side, nylon compressor), which destroyed my engine etc etc now my life is ruined.. Anyway time to rebuild on a budget, have managed to find everything i need for an affordable price but this would mean the turbo that would go in would be the same thing that blew up on only 10psi with pretty much standard everything. note: replacement stock turbo is in perfect order but has 130,000 kms on it.. How do i either make this turbo more reliable, or can anyone suggest a replacement turbo that would be more reliable, something of simular size as i cant really afford a retune at the moment. preferably the cheapest and most reliable option (yes i know that doesnt really exist) cheers
