  1. Powertune has audible warnings via a 3.5MM jack that comes out of the dash you can connect to a headset or speakers, so to say the others dont have audible warnings isnt true (im not sure about all the others its been a while since i looked into dashes). You also dont need to replace the factory cluster at all, so I'm not sure why you mentioned that. Mines mounted on my steering column in front of the factory cluster. Still sounds interesting, what is the total price of everything combined? Your box, realdash, tablet purchase, mounting cost ?
  2. Noticed you mentioned RealDash, however Powertune Digital has supported Nissan Consult and Apexi FC for years (does require a Hako) and does far more than almost all the other dashes out there. It started as the original raspexi project. they dont have external sensor support but have said its coming shortly. They have laptiming, datalogging and its like half the price of the other dashes out there.
  3. Hi all, Mike here, I am a member of SAU VIC and my wife and I have just purchased property in Pimpama and will be moving up to QLD in a few weeks! I have done a lot of reading on the forum, facebook etc and just wanted to ask a few quick queries if I may, as I am a bit on the fence about selling the car before I move (I dont really want to). I didnt really expect it to be on par with melbourne however from the outside it seems the action up there is pretty quiet? I notice on the recent happy laps thread only 2 or 3 people seemed to attend...The forum is pretty quiet, there is no facebook page (which is used pretty heavily in VIC for events and meets etc). There is pretty much a meet on every single weekend in melbourne whether you want to cruise, show or whatever. After a quick scan through facebook I cant even really find that many car clubs or meet/cruise groups in QLD let alone JDM groups. I was wondering how much action is up there and is it worth going to the trouble to get my GTT 34 up there? My wife also drives a V35 250GT and we also have a Mazda tribute for towing as im keen to see some dirt bike action up there, so three cars is not really ideal. I'd love to keep my 34 but only if im really going to get chances to use it as I dont use it as a daily, if those chances wont be there in QLD then I would consider parting with it.. Seperately I'm also going to be on the hunt for a decent mechanic and obviously we need RWC's done. I saw another thread someone asking for a place to get RWC back in November (that has zero replies), and there is another thread asking for mechanic recommendations where people state one of the mechanics mentioned has done some very nasty things to some engines, but haven't stated who it is. Can anyone give any real advice here? FINAL question - my wifes V35 currently throws a P1111 fault code, some kind of weird issue with the ECU that looks like it needs to be replaced. car runs fine though. is this likely to prevent me getting an RWC? not too up to scratch on the laws up there.,.. Thanks in advance for any advice. I have attached a pic of my car last week at a charity event (I didnt have time to wash it before I left Mike
  4. how did you go with this mate? i'm moving to QLD in a few weeks.
  5. Hi guys, I'm a paid member of SAU VIC, currently on holiday in gold coast with the fiance and looking to buy property and move here. Am I able to join in on this tonight not being a QLD member? I drove my R34 GTT uo here. Cheers

  7. Hi all, Purchased an R34 few months ago upgrading from my R33. I love my cars but not very techinical and dont know much about parts and DIY jobs etc. Anyway, I have an issue where the car just doesnt want to go into second gear on upshifts. From 1st to 2nd its like hitting a wall, there is just nothing there. I softly hold it towards second gear until it sort of drops itself into gear. Occasionally if traffic dictates and I have to shift quickly I can feel a bit of a crunch as it goes in. (try to avoid this at all costs) However I have no issue switching down from 3rd to 2nd, it just drops right in perfectly every time. I was told when I picked the car up that it had just had a major service but the transmission oil was not done. I seem to doubt that the oil could be the cause as i'd probably be having issues in multiple gears? Anyway im unsure what to do about this and googling "manual transmission repairs" hasnt given me encouraging results. Any suggestions on what to do/where to go (located in Melbourne) would be appreciated. No issues in any other gears. thanks Mike
  8. Hi, Is anyone able to provide a written guide or update the images? All threads on the net point to this one, and all the images are broken. There are no written guides anywhere. thanks mike
