  1. I have done this after I added a blue film to the display. There is a wire that completes a circuit when the parkers are turned on. I removed it from the connector block that plugs into the climate control unit. The unit no longer dims when the lights are turned on.
  2. The dropping resistor is located behind the LH headlight, next to the airbox. It's silver and about 3" long. If it's unpluged/failed it can make the shifts hard, coast on overrun and not engage overdrive. Some people (yank maxima owners)have tried this as a poorman's shift kit. Check that it is connected, if it is swap it with a known good one.
  3. On a R33 if you remove the 2 braces between the engine and gearbox the dustshield can be removed. You now have access to the flexplate (flywheel). Jam a large flatblade screwdriver into the ringear. One side to undo the crankbolt, other side when tighening. I think your R34 will be the same.

  5. My S1 (94) has the 2 seperate stalks. Just to add to the confusion. The light stalk has 2 types, with and without foglights switch. The wiper stalk also has 2 types, with and without rear wiper switch.
  6. Yes, the bushing at the top of the upright. So it sounds like a can remove the old bush and its shell with an (air) chisel and press in the new one in the vice. That's DIY in my book. Any other tips\tricks?
  7. I am after some advice on fitting the bushing kit (camber kit) to outer upper control arm. Do I need to remove the upright and press the old bushes out and then the new bushes in? Or can this be done DIY while still fitted and without a press?
  8. I have seen a couple of inductive timing lights read double on a R33. They showed 30BTC on the pully when timing was infact 15BTC. I would recomment trying another timing light to confirm.
  9. These are the instructions I used.... http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/32293-hazard-li...witch-lamp.html
  10. On my car it raises the lighted mast on the front left corner of the bumper. It allows the vertically challenged to see where the corner of the car is when parking.
  11. Thanks to all who posted or PMed. Part found, relays swapped over and ABS is now working correctly.
  12. Hi, I am in need of a ABS pump\relay module to suit a R33 Series 1. It is the relays that I need but prefer to take a complete unit for testing. PM with details Thanks Tony
  13. I have run United's 98 e10 for 100k kms without problem.
  14. I run KU31 on a R33 in 225\50x16 and 245\50x16, very happy with them wet and dry. They look they will last @30k km on my daily driver.
  15. Between 40 and 60 is what I have, but you do need to carry out the IAC cleaning and idle adjustment as detailed in the tuturials section.
