  1. Tops...so this https://www.iee.nz/product-page/gtr-electronic-pedal-conversion Is basically a modded standard pedal? Works for me if so
  2. Happy New Year ppl Got myself in a bit of a mess. Can't fund a new 350Z DBW pedal locally so sort of stuck with what the next best option is. Want to ensure pedal position is at least as good for heel-toe as factory Measured up the std inlet and seems I need to make do with 400rwkws through a 60mm DBW Bosch throttle body
  3. So digging this thread up. Why would I do the GM 26 spline if doing a full OS Giken gearset in an RB25 box? I am pretty easy on gearboxes generally having never blown one. My current box has had gear on gear contact so now has very loud whining noise so need new gears Not sure ro go 34 gtt box or rebuild with OS Giken gearset https://youtu.be/N1N7eQEC1N0?feature=shared
  4. Yeh, I found a place that does 68 vane 343mm rotors so hoping going from 42 to 68 with some better ducting will keep them alive For all those reasons I have kept the 17s Uncle Dunc....32s just don't look as good with 18s. But the 343mm does limit the 17" wheels you can run to basically LM GT4, TE37s or Weds TC You Bathursting this year?
  5. Also, EVO Brembos have bloody big pistons so if you dont have ABS, id recommend you drive a car with the upgrade to see if you like them
  6. Are you still rocking GTSt MCA shock in the bus?
  7. If i could just find at sensible price an R31 GTSX or ST165 GT4 then id be a happy idiot living in denial I miss my 31 coupe. It would be mega 25 years later if that numpty didnt run i to me
  8. Its a shitbox too...The Motec and EFR sitting on the bench will hopefully help it break more driveline parts Christ, had it 12 years . Time for another English shitter I should actually swap beakes. 370mm 6 pot APs for street car and 343mm 4 pot on club car!?!?!? 🤔
  9. I love my old school Weds but having used a set of Pagid RS29s and rotors down to 30.5mm after only really 8 track days I think it's time for 18s
  10. I run RB25DE inlet manifold on an RB25 (no VCT) with twin 2860-5s on E85 and it is more respo lnsive then generally the R32R33 GTRs with same turbo setups in same dyno. Whether it's cam timing or other things RB26 inlets keep pulling at 8,000rpm where I have found on two different setupa the long runners start fall over To the point...I reckon I'll listen to a mate and try one of these on the spare motor
  11. Old cars are too much work. Time to sell up and buy weak ass M4 or something. I may know a buyer for the 31 I'm still pulling pennies for an Emtron
  12. Cheers. I've bought some uses for gearbox cross member and some rub er for cage mount. Hopefully that will do it...thanks for the link. Bought one of them ...can't hurt
  13. Of course. Never getting rid of the old girl. Sandown went well yeterday. Definitely need some new tyres as they are rather square now PB with a 1:19.77 Not happy with the 4.1 diff and need to go back to 4.3 ratio. But good to be consitently getting some laps in the car as I still suck
  14. Lol...as i sat there waiting for the tow i got to about 5 things i did wrong whilst frolicking in the paddock. Most of all who woul of thunk it that downhill near the wall was boggier than to the left UP the incline....moron
  15. Doing my best to live like it's 2013 3rd track day in 4 months
  16. And Symmons Plains vid. God I was losing time under brakes and off the start finish straight. Tough place to work out whether its 2nd or 3rd. Anyway...good fun. Baskerville was better seat time and started to get my head around driving the girl after years of little driving
  17. So just got back from a few days in Tassie. Was a great trip that included some laps at Symmons Plains and Baskerville Finally started to get the car sorted, though the borrowed GoPro proved to be less than great https://youtu.be/5oVTdOG7svM
  18. So whats the thinking on the plenum? Very different type of comparison but i lost torque and response on my 310rwkw RB20. So i was going to RB26 plenum my 2.8L Neo build. Easier to run a plazmaman or even std. My Kinder Surprise RB25DE with no VCT beats RB26 on same dyno, fuel and turbos and can only put that down to the long runner inlet. Does the torque mapping mean you have what you can use so plenum isnt as critical? Thats assuming its not bettercat response power and torque which may have been your experience
  19. No problem. Appreciate you looking for me though. Start new job in January....will be good to be back in Melb, no more 70hr weeks at a start up...normal programming shall resume. 2023...hopefully my 18yr quest of a teen at Sandown is realised
  20. Ooh. Yeh. Not sure about how my first born will feel a out being called Komdotkom
  21. I'm too big a tight ass to do anything ECU wise. Power FC gets the job done. By the time I do an ECU. Loom, trigger etc it's 5k that doesn't make the car any faster as I really don't need more hp. I'll pull the loom from the car and strip the loom this weekend . Also need to do a fre checks on the engine. Doing a hot shut-down at Griffins Bend wasn't ideal. Lifters were loud and engine a bit cranky when I got it fired back up the next day
  22. So after being ready with a week to spare before Bathurst, the car developed an oil leak that took 3 days to diagnose Tried lines, gaskets and in the end it was a hairline crack in the alloy housing that bolts to the block that you screw your filter too. Was a bastard to diagnose. LOL , may need to make a longer oil cooler line and install one of those billet ones. Then on to Bathurst. Car was running like a dream. First 3 sessions were either red flagged 2-3 laps in or just too much traffic and was forced to clear the slower cars until the re-categorised starting positions on the dummy grid. For session 4 they bumped me up 18 spots right behind a Cup Car on slicks. Was pumped and was hoping to finally get a good run without traffic. On the first flying lap at the top of Mountain Straight the engine went flat and had no drive at turn in to Griffins Bend so had to do a Glen Seton 1995 and pull over in the gap in the concrete wall on the right to the end of the session. So lost injectors for some reason so started pulling back all the loom tape trying to find the short. Couldnt see anything , so called it at 9.30pm and went for beers. In the morning re-taped the loom and had injectors back!!!! I hate it when things start working for no reason...I hate it more than when they stop for no reason So waited to the afternoon session, spoke to drivers around me to make sure that I could find a gap and tried my luck for a single lap. LOL i am guessing it was a combination of heat, vibration etc that something is shorting and popping the Engine Con fuse so with very few plces to pull off the track and too many walls to be losing drive and power steering etc only wasnted to do one flying lap So this is the vid of that lap that ended up as a PB...sooooo much left in it. Will have to go back next year after i put a new loom in the old girl over Xmas Even though the morning 3 sessions were red flagged etc the running around with Porsches and big HP Evos was the most fun I have ever had in the old girl
  23. Speedo is mint. Did a cable back in 2001 at Wakefield so know that headache. It could potentially be that r33 ps pumps have lower pressure??.
