  1. Heya everyone I recently copped a yellow for my ride height. Subsequently there is an old guy who works at Welshpool pits who made the list stupidly long. Now I need and engineer who is happy to look the other way on a couple of safe but not quite legal mods. PM me if you have heard of any.
  2. That was me. Also spotted a Black? 33 on Habourne Street. Saw you flash HIDs and gave a wave. (Tuesday last week)
  3. I have had my 33 since june / july last year. I got stickered in August the same year for my CF bonnet, but I knew that was coming. Since then I have been pulled over a bit but mainly for lisence checks and breatho's. I agree that the Police will target you if your acting like a knob but if you talk to them nicely and don't act like a tool and give them lip they pretty much have a quick chat put you on the bag and let you go. Also, I avoid places like Northbridge and the city after 10pm on weekends except if I ultimately have to, and then I make sure I don't have a drop to drink.
  4. We are all lucky, especially because we are members of a "Car Club" Next thing we know is the cops outlaw car clubs the same a bikers and we all live in fear of going on a nice Sunday cruise with mates for fear of being arrested. Think its almost time to get rid of the 33 and invest in an Evo and just tell the police to buggeroff coz its stock. Blinky
  5. I had an interesting one when I was younger. I was working in Northbridge as a Bouncer and finished work at about 3am. I was on the freeway heading south to Mandurah where I lived at the time and was feeling pretty shitty as I needed sleep. So I did the right thing and pulled over for a nap. I had been asleep for a little while when a cop wakes me up and says I can't camp there. I explained the situation and he gave me the green light to sleep it off for a few more hours. He even came back and woke me up at 6am before he finished shift and followed me to the end of the freeway. Champ!! There are some good cops out there so this is a good thread to read instead of all the cop bashing going on lately. Blinky
  6. I was on the Bunno cruise and it was good. I will look at some spots for cheap group accomodation and put some ideas forth. Blinky
  7. Was that in reply to my post or something else?
  8. Hi Everyone Looking for interest in anyone wanting to do a cruise down south around the coast and through wine country. Bunbury - Dunsborough - Yallingup - Caves Road - Margaret River - Bunbury. I did this run a few weeks back and it was an awesome drive and took about 3 hours including lunch. Also had some very nice coastal spots for photos etc. Anyone local or from Perth then let me know and I will put something together for April sometime. Blinky
  9. It didnt actually take 3 hours, thats just what they billed you at the end to make some money, lol.
  10. Ok Crew I fly back to work tomorrowand will be showing Rod all your constructive, and not so, criticisms. After that we will post some more pointed and specific questions in the same thread. Cheers for everyones input. BTW - I took my boat for a sail down caves road between Yallingup and Margaret River today, Fantastic driving road, twisty and turny and scenic. Didn't even get seasick!! Blinky
  11. Ok ppl, back on track. He works away, so I would assume it's going to be a daily for the time he is off. Like mine. As for looks, I think he leans towards the 34 styling and wants some decent power. He has the cash to play and modify but I think his knowledge in mechanics may lack so may only go a body kit and minor engine bolt ons, or else Xspeed or the likes may be making some good coin when he buys something. Honestly in the time we have talked he just wants a nice lookng car, that has balls and will pull the chickies. He was talking about a Supra with a 2JZ Auto "SLAP", different forum buddy!! Blinky
  12. Hi Everyone I am still relatively new to the whole import scene but am learning all I can as quick as I can. Anyway, one of my staff has approached me with some questions. He has a wad of cash and wants to buy a HPI. Of course I reccomended a Skyline. Now what I need. I need some pro's and con's to each model listed, and also the GTR variants. As I have only ever owned and driven a 33 I am a little out of my realm. Please list feedback about your cars, how they handle, fuel usage, performance aspects, good points and bad. What to look for etc when finding the beast of your dreams. Please be short and sweet as he will be reading this under my login when there is some discussion and I don't want him scared by your knowledge. Cheers Crew Blinky
  13. Hi Everyone Does anyone know if the AJD is coming to WA? Seems like all the Eastern States get the good car shows and we get stuck with Auto Salon. Anyway, if anyone can let me know if Perth is onthe agenda that'd be good. Blinky
  14. I bought the car to drive it, not just wank over... Plus it has only recently hit the 100,000k mark so its relatively fresh. Also I promised myself that when it got upto 200,00k I would rip out the 25 and throw in a 26. So it's all good as it all feeds my ultimate goal. Blinky
  15. I've been itching to do a decent road trip in my 33, maybe count me in. Blinky
