Galois replied to AnalStick's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Clutch wearing in maybe? Could be some random off-brand clutch they used to sell it... -
1999 R34 25Gt-T Manual Coupe (Nsw)
Galois replied to Soft's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Gahhhh I miss this car so much! I actually visited Soft last week and saw the car, he's taken immaculate care of it, and spared no expense! The new owner will be very lucky... and it would be me if I had the mulah laying around haha. Good luck with the sale, talk soon mate. BUMP! -
If you go a magna go for the TJ2 models, 2002 onwards. They're a good improvement over the TJ model. Auto magnas have a weak point in the gearbox that will go if the car hasn't been serviced regularly/has done large amounts of towing without a trans cooler/or if you're unlucky etc... The 3.5 v6 magnas are not bad to drive, plenty of torque to pull you along, but like most cars do have their issues. Also worth considering is a similar year camry. I have a 2000 3.0L camry and a 2000 3.5L magna, the magna is more fun to drive, but the camry feels much more solid even though it has over 50k km more on the clock. Maxima and accord are also worth a look at.

Any sightings or news on this? Sucks mate, sorry to see. Did you have an alarm on it?

Tyres you use(d) and how u would rate them
Galois replied to ZigenGT's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
Sometimes tyres have a wear in time, it might take some time to reach optimum grip (not long though) -
^cheap?

That's pretty interesting, the engine doesn't get too hot?

OP, if you're looking for a fast car for that price range bmw m3's and porsche boxters can be found for 50k, I haven't driven either, but I would test drive as many options as possible before handing that much cash over. If you drive them all and buy the 34 gtr you'll be even happier with the decision

Remember to do an engine flush with a fine pinot noir

Saw some zonda-esque beast of a thing in the bunnings bankstown carpark, very low, very wide, very loud, and very slow over the speed humps. No idea what it was though, wish I'd had time to grab a pic
