Keep em coming Terry.

My misso and I were going through these last night and in regards to the Temples then and now there are only very subtle differences to then and now.

New paving/paths a coat of paint and the tent stalls at Asakusa are now permanent fixtures and where the homeless go to sleep at night.

When you look at the difference in time from then to now in comparison to the hundreds of years those temples have been around , 30 odd years is just a blink of an eye.

Thanks for the words of appreciation Mark. What nationality is your missus?

I'll be hitting the Hokkaido coast at about Vol 5 - 090 onwards. Hired a car and went anticlockwise around the island.

Hokkaido reminds me so much about B.C/Alberta Canada.

Thats amazing, dunno what else to say.

Any idea what car he is driving?

I know hey - I wish I could drive even half as good as that!

I'm pretty sure it's an AE86 Corolla interior.

hehe I know what you mean - I consider myself having a good day of driving if I can spin the tyres through first, second and into third gear in a straight line, the whole turning corners thing is a bit beyond me  oh well will learn someday :)

yeah looks like an 86 - I googled it after reading your post - thanks mate
