TopGear Road Test V35 350GT

Recommended Posts

I agree but the accountants are pushing the direction and an alloy engine is easier to make emissions friendly. The GM is all alloy isn't it? (major components).

The GM Generation III 5.7 litre V8 is all alloy.

It is a very modern engine for what it is but that's like saying you have a titanium bladed, graphite handled axe when the Japanese are using the "RB26" chainsaw.

We have yet to see the new "35" GT-R as it is but I expect that the last of the R34 GT-R's will be major collectors items.

I see the M-Spec and perhaps even some of the later V-Spec II's become very expensive as they signify the end of a 15 year "legend".

good read, but jeez, the r35/v35/whatever... looks like a joke, thier is just none of the class and style of the r3x family, just some new euro looking audi thing.

bah... bring on the r36... :-D

Thats a sweeping conclusion considering it's based just on looks!

I saw about 5 or 6 of these at the Tokyo Auto Salon on Saturday, all modified (some heavier than others) and I even sat in the Nismo V35 350GT demo car... the very one featured in the article above. It's a very, very good car.
