Where to start....

Well cutting a long story short. Younger brother comes home one day and says he is buying an R33 GTST.

So as competitive as brothers are, I had to buy one as well.

Skyline No 1.

The idea for this car was something fun to drive around on the weekend, hit up a couple of track days here and there.

Yeh well that didn't last long at all.

First DECA was hooked, must do more track days.

Started off with a japspec cat back, that is it. Then after a couple of track days realizing it's got to be better than this.

It became.

- fmic

- pfc

- front/dump

- cat

- greddy type s coilovers

- whiteline swaybars

- seat, harness bar and harness

- radiator, oil cooler

- diff

- better tyres (RSR's)

After that and with 190rwkw I though the thing was a rocket and I'd never have to touch it again...well.

Enter No 2.

This thing was completely stock and had 170,000km on it.

So the job was simple...

Swap all the running gear from No 1 into No 2. Including the engine, box and rear subframe.

We did everything at home in the backyard, except for the engine and box swap.

The engine from No 2 went to a good home. Now in Josh's track white 32GTST.

And at the same time give the brakes a little more power.

UAS 324mm spacer.

So 4 weeks after No 1 was gone, No 2 was on the track again.

Then a new turbo is in order. Hypergear 21U highflow, 200rwkw.

To which Trent @ Chequered Tuning promptly made into a flame thrower.

So that pretty much covers off 2009.

This was actually October 2009.

After russman had done a drift day and taken the front bar off on the wall.

One of the only standing start supersprints I've ever done.

So I picked up some cast tsuchia wheels from the forums.

17x8 and 17x9

Which then got powder coated.

Which then find that the spokes are cracked and swap back to the sar3 and drift6 setup.

So reshell time again.

Found a very clean car this time around, low km.

So we kept the engine and box, the diff was also a mechanical so we left that in there.

- new radiator

- new oil cooler

- swap in suspension, brakes, camber arms, harness and bar, gtr wing, exhaust, turbo etc

- new seat (other one broke)

DSC_1050_.jpg

This time around, more grip is required.

17x9 + 22 all around
