I think I've mentioned this before but my tuner who Tuned f-con on my car.

He can make the harnesses.. For a price. But its An option there for you.

And Theo my tuner has a map that adjusts the shifts I sent it to Scotty too. It changes hard and fast and can go harder and I've got 725cc injectors

Oh yeah rs6 daaahhh sorry :)

Well that's a whole lot more awesomeness. Is that the same engine as gallardo and r8 but with turbos?

Hey footo, gearbox map sounds the goods, I think I remember reading that your tuner could make a harness up, but didn't he want like $800 or something crazy like that?

Does anyone here have one set up without the original vq25 harness? Did your tuner make yours when he installed the fcon or did you have it already?

Yea I think he may of lowered his price If he could get 2 or 3 made.

He also mentioned he saw one being bought by Jesse streeter a few months back, I'm sure he could find another for you.

Mine is a original which he already had.

He spent alot of time On setting it up and tuning(on-road)

Yes it is :)

Also a bit of room to tune them too.

Yeah I was thinking of asking Streeter to have a look for me, but he normally has a break over Christmas so maybe I'll try in the new year.

What you reckon I'd have to pay if you can get one Craig?

Holy sheet that's cheap! Cool I'll be scanning it every night. We need version 3.3 yeah?

For the harness, not the Fcon. V3.24 or 3.3 you will need I think.

Cool, cheers!

The turbo arrived today :)

It'll take me forever to get all the stuff I need to make everything work...but I'm pretty excited!

Haltech have just announced a new ecu (elite) with electric throttle control (with cruise control), and 4 indipendant cam control. How does the m35 auto ecu work? Does it use CAN or just analogue signals?

It uses CAN, but not the same CAN setup as the VQ35 afaik. It can run independently to some extent, with no kick down.

I am starting to think a VQ35 transplant is on the cards along with the 6 spd manual conversion. That new Haltech would be very nice to get working.

They can't even get the VQ30det running right, no electronic throttle, no EVCT. It's always so easy until you realise it actually isn't.

Sorry to pic your brain, but what do you know the who/when on VQ30DET testing/wiring?

My 2003 y34 vq30det has cable throttle but not sure on the VCT side of things.

From what i can gather the ECU pinout is the same as the NM35, so think im in the same boat. When i get a chance ill try to hunt down to see if theres a separate ecu for the CVT gearbox.

Note: most cars with Vq30det conversions are running y33 motors which have different ecu pinouts. Not sure on what other stuff the motor does or doesnt have

tranny ecu will be in the passenger kick panel. Engine ecu is above that behind the glove box

thread dig again... any body sussed out this 350Z ECU?

http://www.syvecs.co.uk/products/engine-management-system/s350z/

doesnt tell you a whole lot, but from what it does say it could same ECU plug.

im guessing its similar to the Vipec option http://www.vi-pec.com/ecus/iseries__pluginecu#nissan

but says VQ35DE applicable only. but also says capable of doing forced induction....

Here's a bit more detail from the factory site;

It has a slight possibility it might be compatible in some way with the series 2 m35, but i would 99.9% confidently say it would be a whole world of issues with the vq25det and just won't work.

    • Did a little bit this afternoon and pulled the dump and turbo off so I could take the mani off to clean it up and give it a few coats of paint. Wire wheeled what I could get to and then got the sand paper out to get the tight spots. Gave it one coat so far, will do another two tomorrow and see if I can fit it in the oven to bake it for an hour along with the adapter and dbw.  Hoping the exhaust wrap I ordered turns up soon so I can wrap the dump and screamer. Ordered 30M so I'll wrap back as far as I can to help a little with temp next to the box and also the floorpan.
    • Yeah I think overall I’m running the expected power I should be running for now and I’ll just enjoy it for the time being until I get some other parts. Thanks for the advice mate I appreciate it!
    • That's fair enough.  Might be time to just enjoy what you have until you sort the ecu/flex sensor situation. You can pretty much guarantee that you are knock limited and e85 is going to be the solution to more power.
    • He didn’t provide that info to me but I think I’m on standard timing. And no we don’t have e85 on the petrol stations here but it’s widely available here from shops. I’m just planning on getting a better ecu before switching to e85
    • Seems bang on to me , g30-900 will make 900 crank on e85(on paper). Deduct ~25% for 98 and you are at 675 crank. Run that to the wheels and fact you are only running 26psi you end up about your number.  People forget how magic E85 is now that just about everyone is running it.   "Back in the day" you had to be north of 30psi on a 850+hp turbo to get 600 at the wheels on 98.
