250Gt Stock Tv + Aftermarket Head Unit Questions

Hi, I apologise if any of these questions have been convered. I have spent hours on this site using the search feature, a lot of the links that were provided in threads have expired or the images also have expired, being from so long ago.

I have the stock TV / Sat Navi unit however it is not connected at all, I am right in assuming that it should turn on once popped up?
It has an aftermarket JVC head unit which is connected through to the steering wheel controls.

Is there a way to connect the TV so that I can just get the fuel consumption going?
I also want to be able to connect a reverse ( & if not too hard a front facing) camera and hook it to the TV as well.

Also, I know this has been asked a lot but it has been a long time so possibly there is another solution now.
Are there any other options these days to connect a gps / video interface to the stock TV?

So the DVD unit above the glove box is missing?

If yes then the answer to your question is no.

Yes the DVD unit above glove box is not there.
If I am able to source this part would it be possible to connect the pop up screen to use the features I mentioned?

How difficult would that be?

If you can find one then it will be a case of plugging it in and it will run.
