R34 Vs Ls1 Senator Video

Sharing a video of my latest bash at the drags, one opponent I cam up against had a 280kw ls1 senator, heres how it went down -

What time did each run?

R34: 13.5 @ 107mph

I'm guessing that's 280kw at the engine on the Senator, not 280rwkw. 280rwkw LS1's run 12's without too much trouble.

What's the mod list on the R34, which gearbox and what kind of power level?

My old VX Senator, 6 speed manual, 280ish rwk consistent 12's, almost 11's...got it to 301rwk and got 11's easy...

That was the slowest 1/4 everrrr

The guy who owned the senator told me "it has roughly 280 rwkw with cams and mafless tune" - those were his words, I don't know the guy, I didn't even look under his bonnet.

My 34 - stock turbo, ebc, safc, 3" exhaust stock gear box, nothing special, I'm still enjoying the quick spool of the stock turbo.

Best time was 13.2, the track was rather slippery on that day, not that I go to the drags often.

The senator had no where near that power to run that mph. Near stock 34and you ripped him, well done mate. Ha ha even the commentator was surprised. Nice time too.

Cheers mate, I can only assume he had 280 at the wheels as thats what he told me moments before the race. Either way it was mad fun, I recommend it to anyone !
