Rb26 Misfiring On Cornering

Hi guys,

I recently went to the track, and although the first few outings were fine, after a while it began misfiring whenever I'd be cornering. It seemed fine whenever I would hit the straights.

It had roughly half a tank of fuel, is an R34 (which I think has a bit of baffling in the tank anyway), but other than that I'm a bit ... baffled ...

No smoke was seen coming out either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers!

Thanks for the replies guys!

Does it still do it with a full tank?

Yep it was fine when I entered with the full tank - is half a tank typically low enough to get fuel surge on an R34?

^ what he said. Certainly sounds like fuel surge. Might be worth checking the fuel pump cradle is correctly locked into its bracket and that the sock is present.

I haven't double-checked this one, cheers, will pull it out and see

Even if all still in place/locked in properly, it's probably a good idea to get a surge tank in any case!

Thanks again guys

Ah righto, cheers for the info, hopefully doesn't need to be replaced!

Will take a look at it and make sure it's secured firmly as suggested and perhaps see if any room to drop it a bit more; will also perhaps just take a jerry can to the next track day and keep the fuel topped up, before going down the route of surge tanks etc
