Nismo Afm Or Z32 Afm? What's The Difference?

Recommended Posts

Z32 is physically larger diameter, no? 80mm.

Nismo is stock diameter, still 65mm, so no need to modify anything else when fitting them. All that is different from stock is that they have a higher range of airflow before reaching 5V (therefore they are less sensitive than stock).

What has been said above is correct. You'll need to replace the intakes to match the Z32's if you buy them.

Nismo kits do the same job and can be used without having to replace anyway, direct plug and play basically.

Personally I'd use the Nismo ones if you were to keep AFM's all together. Another option is to remove AFM's all together providing you have an ECU with a map sensor.

Look at the costs of buying new intakes, z32 afms or nismos in comparsion to an ECU and you'll see that it will cost more but not by a significant amount.
