Auto To Manual Ecus Interchangeable On R33?

I did a manual conversion on my 33 but kept the auto ecu using the usual tricks, but now I want to get my ecu nistuned... obviously can't with an auto ecu so just wondering if I buy a manual one will it plug straight in? Or does the loom need modifying/replacing with a manual one. Apologies if this has been covered but I can't get a straight answer and research via google image is confusing me hah. Yeah I'll call him tomorrow if noone knows. Just thought someone would have definitely done this and have a quick answer. Also just realised this should not be posted in the transmission thread... whoops my bad haha.

R33 ECU not traditionally able to be Nistuned regardless of auto or manual. Usual suspects involve R32 or Z32 ECU transplant with the various bodgy fixes required to make VCT work and various other issues - now somewhat reduced by the ability to run VCT natively from R32 ECU.

Also for reference, I had a previously Nistuned Auto ECU on my R34 and no problems after a manual conversion.
