Viper Alarm Install

Hi all,

Installing a new Viper alarm into my 32gtr.

The instructions say I should wire the starter kill immobilizer to the starter wire. Is there any reason I can't wire it to the trigger wire on my fuel pump relay?

Seems a bit silly wiring an immobilizer next to the ignition barrel..

No, theres no reason you can't disable the fuel pump relay instead. More importantly you should try to conceal the immobiliser unit in a hard to access location under the dash.

Edit: Sorry misread your reply.. All set up to the fuel pump and running fine.

Immobilizer is hidden closer to the boot then the dash

If you want to make the car even more secure, you can put a switch on the fuel pump or ignition relay and put it in a separate concealed location. This way, even if the keys are located, the car will not start.
