M35 Thermo Fan Causing Low Idle

hi fellows,

i have HDi FMIC fitted with 2*12" thermo fans (controlled by davies craig digi thermo controller and IGN relay, not aircon reply.)

the problem is when the 2 thermo fans kick in when idle, then the idle will drop a bit with some vibration.

that's so annoying to me. any solution?

thanks guys

Factory ecu's which use thermo fans automatically raise the iac valve pulses to ensure a smooth idle when the fans turn in.

You don't have that.

I can suggest nothing, except put stock fan back on.

the problem is factory thermo fan working logic is not suitable for aussie hot day.:angry:

Can you pull in staged; one, then the other?

It's the huge load pulling both in at once that does it.

yes, the logic of digi thermo controller is pull the 2nd one after 5sec. the low idle is happening when the 2 fans running together after kick in

Why are you running 2? All of us currently run 1 without cooling issues (and i live in qld and dint have issues in middle of summer).

just want to make the engine be more cooler. i will wire one to stock thermo switch that will kick in with ac on and high engine temp
