MKIV Supra auto --> manual conversion?

was wondering if anyone has done thius with a MKIV supra? i am looking at possibly purchasing an auto one with the notion to convert it to manual, any experiences?

I think you need to get a new ECU cause the toyota's auto gearbox control is in the ECU.

It sounds like a good idea so you can get a TT Aero-Top & make it manual......

I thought the aero's only came out in N/A form?

They only came in Auto form..... You can get them in TT

ok, i can understand that. wonder what gearboxes people have used?? ie. whether they have gone for the rz 6 speed box ro some other after market racing box?

very bigg dollr if your not going for the 5 speed I believe it is much cheaper to buy a manul where as with a skyline the conversion is justified

ok, thats all i really wanted to know. if the $$$ of conversion is not justified then i will forget the auto idea and just keep my eyes out for a RZ 6spd manual.
