  1. Ah, crap. Oh well, got them now and been running perfectly for the past 3 weeks. See what happens. They list the VQ25DET on their website where I purchased, so If they bugger up Ill be wanting replacements!
  2. Hmm yeah cheers. I swear id heard something that was different. Ah well , like you said its listed so bugger it, ill order. Ill kick up a fuss if they don't work! Haha!

Probably asking a dumb question as it is listed there, but Id heard of confusion!
  4. Hey again guys, still haunt gotten around to getting coil packs - damn work. Can anyone tell me if the Yellow Jackets YJ-VQ35-S1 are compatible? They list M35 Stagea, and VQ25DET (06-07). Wasn't sure though, as mine is 2001 if the engine had changed at all. Juts want to confirm before I order! Any luck with the Crank sensor Scott? I cleaned mine up the other day - lots of metal particles on there!
  5. Hey, I was just wondering if these have been tested on a vq25det? (2001 M35 Stagea). I have heard that although the same part no. the VQ35 coil packs arent powerful enough for the vq25det? If good news, I will place an order this afternoon! Cheers, Corey
  6. So just to update the latest on ye ol stag issues. Tonight after work i managed to pull some motivation from somewhere and spend a few hours trying to diagnose. After removing everying up to and including the plenum, just to triple check my work, i hooked her up to a snap on diagnosis tool. After having a dig through the menus, i came to the realisation that infact this tool is indeed much more handy and in depth than just a code reader. I used the tool to switch each individual injector off one by one and cyl 4 & 6 both made no difference when turning injector off. I then switched out the coil pack in cyl 6 with the coil in cyl 2 (which made a solid diff originally when switchimg off the injector) and what do you know, now cyl 2 is the problem! After this result, ill be ordering coil packs tomorrow i think! Strangely enough, the ecu is now puling no codes at all...even running like it is. Fingers crossed some new coil packs solve my problems! Cheers again for all the help everyone!
  7. Nah, double checked them when I got home tonight. All plugged in. Unplugged one whilst running and the engine cut out instantly so I assume they're working!
  8. Hey guys, To follow this topic up, I have since swapped out that dodgy coil pack - which seemed to have fixed the problem for a few days, however it is now back worse than ever. Managed to get the vehicle on a scanner, and she is pulling codes; P1320 - No primary ignition signal to ECM P1135 - INT/Timing control B2 Function Any ideas?
  9. Hey guys thanks all heaps for the replies and info! I think I've found one of the coil packs is buggered. Spotted one that looked suss so swapped it with one that was easy to access with everything connected. Upon doing this, I unplugged this coil whilst running and bam she ran smooth. On 5cyl yes, but no random misses etc. Any recommendations on coil packs? I was thinking finding an oem one would be best option. Car should be back on the road soon now, and I can see if the suspect slight whitish milkshake under the oil cap after short drives is a head gasket or not....project cars - fun times!! Thanks again' Corey
  10. Yeah, im stumped. This all happened after i changed rocker cover gaskets too, was running smooth beforehand. Going to remove coil packs and test with multimeter on weekend. If all seems good, its trailer to some expensive mechanic i suppose...god knows what i broke.
  11. Put new plugs in last week, coil packs looked okay. Yep, reset ecu. Am stumped. Idle is very low and misses badly when in drive. Park isn't so bad as idle is higher. Have done all the idle learning sequences etc with no luck!
  12. So, I replaced the afm today and cleared codes on ecu. No luck.
  13. Hey all, My M35 is running slightly rough and occasionally misfiring when idling. I have put the car in diagnostic mode and pulled the errors, but we are finding it difficult to tell when an error code starts and when it finishes or what it even means. Below is a link to the video we took when the car started showing the errors: http://youtu.be/jWUPjvu-hIU If anyone who had successfully interpreted these fault codes could possibly weigh in and tell us how to read these or what errors are showing, that would be greatly appreciated. The recording started right when we let go of the accelerator, so the recording should start at the right place. Cheers!
  14. As for getting it scanned, it was just pulling a code because I had started it without the AFM plug attached, and stayed on even when i plugged back in. Got it cleared, and its stayed off.
  15. Ahh, wasnt even sure what that sensor was for!! I did unplug some. I thought if I had put one in wrong, it would miss terribly even at idle? It seemed pretty obvious which was which as the length and position of the cables went to the right place. But maybe not. I feel like an idiot haha! Ill kick myself when I work out what dumb mistake I have made!
