Is this still for sale? -
The scene is really taking off on the coast at the moment actually - most of it is organised through Facebook though! Low Profile, Imperative Imports, Marjac, Lay It Low and plenty of others are hosting regular meets in or near the Sunny Coast :-) Add them on Facebook and start joining some events - would be awesome to see some new faces!

How To Install Speakers Into Skyline Doors...
r34davE replied to Fhrx's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Loving seeing so many people spending the time to do a decent sounding install! :-D I dynamatted and dynalined my front doors, built custom 18mm MDF door pods and sealed them with gaskets and sikaflex before installing some 6.5" speakers. Plenty of dynamic range, minimal door rattle even at a full 85WRMS each from my stealth installed micro amp. Oh and it still looks completely stock (I had to sacrifice a little clarity by installing 2-ways instead of splits but I regret nothing). Because I ran 12AWG wiring, I utilized the factory door jamb grommets instead of running my wiring through the middle of the plug. I originally dynamatted my parcel shelf and installed some 6.5" speakers but it sounded shit (poor speaker choice and sounded out of phase with the front) and was pissing off my passengers so I installed some component midranges without tweeters and ran them low pass at 60Hz in reverse phase to the front and it sounds 100 times better. I'm currently in the process of switching them out and installing a more powerful amp with some dedicated 6.5" free air subwoofers. One of our Northern Queensland stores did a similar install in an R33 and they only had good things to say about it... Hopefully when I'm done I should have decent bass, clarity and volume with a completely stock looking interior - that's the aim anyway :-) -
Just an update, I've now been running my new setup for over 6 months and I have to say I have NO regrets! Everyone talking about issues with SLI must be basing it on experiences with crap cards cos I haven't had a single issue and setting it up requires absolutely no hassles (it prompts you to activate SLI when you first fire up windows). I have been trying to find a game that will push my cards but nothing I throw at them seems to bog them down. I max out all my settings on Prototype 2, Skyrim, Fallout NV, Civ V, etc and it runs a charm. My windows experience score is 7.9 too.

Hey man, if you wanna organise this again, I'd be happy to get on board and have a chat with some of the brizzy guys and see if they can make it up
