  1. Sorry mate, old post I know but do you still have the blitz gear?
  2. A stock GTR will hold its value better then a modified one for sure, but part of owning these cars is the way they make you feel when driving them. I mean, they are by no means the fastest cars on the track anymore, especially compared to the newer euro performance cars but a nicely modified GTR always tends to put a smile on your face when you open them up. Not sure if you've driven a standard GTR (not talking about R35's), but they tend to a boring drive...a few mods really does make them enjoyable. R32's being allowed into the US, helped there price go through the roof, but somehow I don't think the R33's will go up in prices as the R32's did...the 33's being the middle child will mean there prices will be the weakest out of the other models, but this suits me just fine. I am onto my third R33, and as fun weekend\track car they are real good value.
  3. Good luck mate...hope you find it soon. These pricks man...just pisses me off. I think we all need to invest in a alarm system that will pass 240V through the steering wheel, with a 30 second delay of the alarm going off...prick thinks his disabled the alarm...SURPRISE MF
  4. Didn't realise the VVTI's were weaker. I've been keeping an eye out for the VVTI model for a bit now (trying to live out my Gran Turismo youth and have a GTR, GTO & Supra). I'll start looking for a 95ish model now I guess. Realise this is the wrong forum to ask this que, but is there a big difference in driviability between a VVTI model and the earlier ones?
  5. Yeah...got it back just before they Xmas break. Just to make sure this doesn't happen again, ended up fitting a decent alarm and a tracker as well. Insurance paid for a standard build so I bit the bullet and paid the difference for a few goodies while they had it open (rb28, diff, etc). Been meaning to start a build thread in the project section, so will try to get that done in the next couple of days. Pic of how it turned up, after I picked it up from the detailer...very happy with how it turned out (the detailing part, not the stolen part...lol)
  6. Reposting due to some items not being visible via app. R33 Front 4 Piston Brembo Calipers with Endless Disks & Pads: Came of a 97 GTR with 120k on it. Includes: Endless 324mm disks (29.5 MM thickness currently) Endless MX 72 Pads (i am not 100% sure on the pads, but was told these are the pads on the car when I bought it. On the back roads once pads were warm I never had any issues slowing down the car in a hurry) $1100 272 Kelford Cams: Unsure of what the exact specs of these Cams are (i.e. lift), but they are 100% drop-in into a RB26 (no need for Valve springs and all that jazz). Looking at Kelfolds website it seems to have 8.9mm lift and they are L182-4: http://www.camshaftshop.com/products.php?productid=1052 Removed them as i wasn't a fan of the lumpy idle. With these Cams and HKS 2530 @ 20psi, i was able to make 406 rwkw on E85 (made 370 on 98). Cams were in the car for a maximum of 30k kms. Cams are at Racepace, so they can be inspected after the 9th of January (currently closed for x-mas break). $550 R33 Series 1\2 Brake ducts: Bought them in the hope they will fit a S3 lip. Don't want to cut them up to make them fit. $180 R33 Triple 3 gauge singe din cluster: 100% working. S150 R33 GTR Cluster (non-vspec): Has ~ 65k on the clock. I can't 100% confirm everything is working on this gauge. I bought this gauge from the Wreckers, when my rev counter on my gauge stopped working and i was waiting for the Nismo cluster to come in from Japan. Nismo cluster arrived a few days after i bought this part, so never got a chance to put it in. I did notice something strange on this cluster though. On the bottom of the cluster where you get the 4WD light & Hicas light, this cluster has a Cruise light instead of the 4wd light (more curious to what sort of car this came out of now). $150 Fuel Pump - DeatschWerks DW300: DeatschWerks DW300 Fuel Pump rated at 340 LPH $90 Denso top feed 680cc injectors: Came of RB26, which pulled 370rwkw @ Racepace dyno. Injectors where at 90 duty cycle at that power level. $240 All parts are located in Melbourne (South Morang, VIC 3752) and prefer pickup. Also happy to meet buyers at Docklands or Eastern Suburbs. I can be contacted on 0422 Three Two One 10 Four
  7. Umm...this is strange. When viewing the ad from a web browser you can see the listing for the other parts, but when you view it from the sau app, you only see listing for the first 2 items. I'll cut and paste the remaining items from the browser to the app tomorrow. Anywhoo, ducts are 180 ono. Located in Vic 3752.

  9. Depends on the EVO I reckon. I have a X and with the SST gearbox I think it's the perfect daily and can do a few laps around the track on the weekend. I do about 500 kms a week and I bought the car new in 2013, it still feels just like it did on day one. The car is also no stranger to the tracks as it goes to Sandown probably every 3 months and with just basic mods was enough to do a few 1.24/25 laps. The older EVO's I think feel a lot more raw (and fun), but having to change gears all the time in stop start traffic might start to get a bit tiring a few months down the line...then again, I am probably getting old and soft, hence why I think that.
