  1. Hey guys need a little bit of light shed on a bit of a wiring gremlin that's made my car near impossible to drive on these hot summer days! I have an r32 gts factory 20de that I've converted to de neo to make it semi bearable till I'm off my ps.. A few months back I had a roller gtst shell to get parts off and make a bit of money on. Discovering that my doors were full of rust where the mirrors bolt on I decided to swap the rust free gtst doors onto my car, when I did this I ran the existing gts door loom into the new gtst doors running the original window switch on the passenger side and the original drivers side master control panel that controls mirrors and both windows. After finishing the job I went to put my windows down to find nothing worked! I started by swapping out anything I could with spare things like the relays and switches with no success in solving it. I hooked the regulator that makes the window go up and down to the battery to see if it worked on 12v which it did so it's not the regulators. The fuses were fine and the relays were also fine. As it sits I have two wires that I touch together to operate the drivers window as its my only car and I commute an hour a day to work.. Dodgey I know right! Has anyone on here experienced a similar problem with their 32? Also need to manually lock the passenger door as my central locking went out with the rest of the electrics. It's been driving me crazy lately as its been getting hotter where I live! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! And yes I spent hours Google searching it with no information on the topic
  2. Hey having some trouble with the power windows and mirrors in my 32. Decided to change the doors for the ones off my spare parts car as the hinges in mine are horrible. Used the existing door loom for windows and reused my mirrors. Have just plugged it all in to check that it works and nothings happening. Have power to switches have power to relay and hooked the regulator up to the battery to make sure it works. I'm so confused as one minute if I test it for current I will get a strong feed at each segment of the loom but still no working windows or mirrors. Have tried using spare relay spare window switches and have even changed the central locking lock in the drivers side. Checked all necessary fuses and none are blown.. Has anyone experienced anything like this with their skyline? It's a 1992 r32 gts and the doors came off a 1992 gtst. Everything is plug and play but could there be slight wiring differences between the non turbo and the turbo model?
  3. Thanks for the input guys will check out the hypergear turbos and see what I can do
  4. Hey guys new to sau and the whole skyline scene. Have got myself a 92 r32 gtst with an rb20 that's sitting on an engine stand currently. I've been replacing bits and pieces such as gaskets and seals before it goes back in so I don't drop it in and find rear seals got a leak etc. I've recently picked up a hks2530 for $200, shaft has slight play with no fin damage, all in all I think it was a good buy but getting back to the means of this post can any of you's recommend a good place in nsw pref closer towards the central coast that will do a rebuild as in new bearings? (Or does the whole chra need to be replaced instead of just the bearings?) any help would be greatly appreciated!
