  1. Please check my pics of the two diff housing next to each other. Is your 350z diff the same height on the front two mounts? It seems way out and.. I’ll have a test fit later in the subframe and put some more pics up but from the eyecrometer, looks heaps out
  2. Yep looking for a 3.5 though. Becoming difficult to find low ratios in NZ for some reason..
  3. R33 gtst and have done the CD00A swap. Ratios not great with 4.11 so bought a manual 350Z R200 diff with 3.5 ratio thinking I can swap the crown and pinion over into my gtst housing (with s15 Torsen/helical gut). All going well and proper (after ‘years’ of research), the internals are not the same - mostly the pinion dimensions. This post is to spread awareness.. Also looking for pointers if any.. From the outside dimensions of the 350Z housing, the front mounts are pretty far off so no idea how that would even bolt into the R33 subframe, even with GKTech off centre solid mounts. Z33 on left, R33 gtst on right. Notice massive difference in front housing mounts (height) and pinion thickness (far off). Definitely not compatible.... crown fits but obv pointless. Happy customer.
  4. Anyone had a look at the FuelTech gear? FT550 looks the goods but cant find any info on FuelTech in a Skyline? https://www.fueltech.net/collections/ecus
  5. Had the car on the dyno a couple of weeks ago after exhaust upgrade from 3-4". Same everything and made decent gains. Unfortunately we couldn't get the bloody turbo shaft speed stats as we didn't manage to set the speed scaler up properly with the link g4. Didnt want to spend hours on dyno time to get it working so we left it for now. Went to powercruise last weekend and had the time of my life around the track. Absolute weapon! Didn't manage to find anything that keept up on the back straight. Until i hit the drag strip.. Just couldn't get away in 1st & 2nd. Rather frustrating. So today i went and purchased some 26x10.5x16 MT drag radials hoping to put some power down and it just blows the tires off every time. Went out on some new smooth back roads trying to get a feel for launching and not a hint of grip in 1st & 2nd. Back to the drawing board unfortunately, quite frustrated..... Do i need wider drag radials on 15" rims? Not quite sure.. Anyways, sorry for no shaft speed figures.. Seems pretty obvious ive run out of turbo. Quite gutted it falls on its face after 7k rpm. My 26 revved to the moon and back. Comparison from 3" to 4" RW figures Crank figures

  7. Awesome, thanks for all the info. I have ordered my 4" exhaust bits and will get it installed shortly. Also ordered a speed scaler. Will get her on the dyno and see where im at and what the 8374 can give on pump. I also thought that a 76mm cooler core is on the small side but the plazmaman website rates them to 900HP+! I'd be more comfortable with a 100mm+ cooler TBH but at $1795.. Thats no joke Might have to wait and see what that efr8474 is all about? Will post results after exhaust is done with shaft speed data for the 8374 for interest sake.
  8. Yea Glen said he doesn't like my 3" step down but was more worried about my Chinese cooler. Would a Plazmaman Pro cooler 600x300x76 flow better than my Chinese one? That's what he recommends..
  9. Hi guys, the time has come to think about where my bottle necks are in my set up and what to touch next. Currently i'm as follows: RB26/30det with all the internal goodies Ported head, 270 10.8mm lift cams and all supported head mods Aftermarket inlet mani with 90mm TB all match ported etc Chinese 600x300x120 cooler (bottle neck?) 3' plumbing all the way round 3.5' down pipe that goes to 3' just past passenger front seat (bottle neck i suspect). 60mm Turbosmart progate EFR8374 1.05 You will notice on my dyno sheets that it starts dropping off just after 7k. On the high boost run, my tuner tried to feed more boost after 7k but it didn't do anything really. I had a shaft speed sensor installed but didn't realise i needed a speed scaler so I don't have any shaft speed figures unfortunately. I suspect i have some sort of breathing issues or my turbo is maxed out? Does the RB30 just not want to rev any more than 7k? Wonder how that EFR9174 would go

  12. Been reading and surfing forums for months and am still completely undecided. Running a fully built rb26 with 260 poncams, headwork and a forced performance FP3582HTA .82 undivided rear. Goes seriously well and i get full go at around 4500rpm.. Thing is i have this 1.06 divided rear sitting at home and am itching to put it on. Tuner said not to but yea.. I am running a divided mani etc so it will complete the set with the divided rear. I dont want to lose response haha.. Wish there was a back to back comparison between the undivided .82 and divided 1.06 out there! Just cant seem to find the black and white info im looking for. Yes im looking for more power without sacrificing too much response. Am going for a power check and slight tune touch up in the next month so really contemplating swapping this 1.06 divided rear in.. Anyone have some advice?
  13. I sure have been over thinking things it seems. And yea i kinda did want to do something different but this car is draining the life out of my wallet now so im simplifying it. Just going to get vac from my intake pipe and route it to my block somewhere with an air/oil separator in between. Possibly another intake pipe - air/oil separator - cam cover breathers. Options i have on my block are; 2nd turbo oil return, dip stick or unused -10an sump bungs (came with the rips high cap sump, high as possible and at the front drivers side). Thing is i just fully rebuilt and on my last hard pull through all the gears on high boost it spat some oil out the breather on the cam covers at the top of 4th. I think its mainly because im only running a filter on one side and the other goes to the stock place (plenum side just above fuel rail) that only sees vac at idle. I will be getting some mines cam cover baffles too and see how that goes. Anyways cheers
  14. Thanks for the comments. Seems like there are some issues i overlooked.. As 89CAL stated, its likely to have slightly positive pressure at high rpm/boost . Starting to think along the lines of a vac pump or pre turbo vac line that draws from my sump (the highest point of sump on drivers side). In my head it should kind of promote faster oil drain from the head down to the sump, instead of drawing out the cam breathers decreasing oil return? Making more sense? Pre turbo vac source would have to have sufficient baffleing/oil air separation though. Might even work using my rear turbo oil drain as a place to introduce the vacuum to (no longer in use, rb26det). Then again as far as i understand the passenger side of the motor has a natural vac at rpm, which wont help me at all. Any problems you guys see with this please give me a shout as i have to make a plan by the end of the week, powercruise is getting closer Thanks again
  15. Its registered. I just dont want to have no vac at all or blow by recycling through my intake.. This should provide decent vac at high rpm where its needed most. Thats the idea anyway.
