  3. WTB cv/driveshaft Am after a r32 gtr front right cv/driveshaft as mine has had it and is unfixable.
  4. The Barra engines are the go, only need to do internals if going 600+hp, they are a high torque motor and a lot of fun, power glide is definitely the go. I have seen it done but can't remember the guys name. Only real downside is it won't sound like an RB
  5. F#$K paying that much, if I'm gonna spend that kind of money I'll be buying an upgrade for both fronts, but that's money I don't have at the moment. And good second hand ones out there?
  6. Recently had my 32 gtr at the cv shop and was told my right front cv was stuffed, too far gone to repair and needs replacing. Apparently the front lefts are easy to get a replacement for but the front rights are not, has to be a genuine gtr one so I've been told. I'm located in south east qld. Where would I be able to get a right front cv and shaft?
  7. Found the problem, the seating ring/flange fell out of the waste gate while it was all apart, so the gate couldn't close properly. Found the ring and put it back in, and it's all fixed now and business as usual
  8. Stared the car up and my screamer pipe is getting hot, so I've undone the clamp on my external waste gate and had a look and it appears to not be closing properly. It is a turbo smart 50mm
  9. Long story short, exhaust manifold stud was stripped out, so pulled turbo and manifold off, install helicoil, re-install manifold and turbo. I also removed the cat. It usually hits full boost at 4000rpm, but now it has no boost until like 6000rpm and even then it's only a couple pounds at most. Car is 32 gtr rb26 t04z turbo. As far as I can tell every bolt and hose clamp I undid I have done back up tight as it was. Thinking computer issue or waste gate issue??? Turbo spins fine and freely as it should.
  10. To Hadouken Please read the original post which I have re-posted for you. Take extra notice of the last sentence. Seeing as this is a forum which relies on people being able to read English. Long story short, bought a r32 gtr, soon after purchase it stopped and wouldn't start again due to electronic issue, can't access computer due to it having a password, rang the mechanic/tuner who was looking after the gtr, he won't give me the password, and will only unlock it if I give him $400-$500, he (Simon and Greg) from bayside/Southside dynos is in Brisbane and I am located over 100kms away. Can anyone help me with either a way to get around the password or with legal action against this flamin mongrel??? Edited by Jhols1, 12 June 2015 - 05:00 PM.
  11. There is nothing wrong with the tune that is in the car. Have ordered the part I need to replace, and will be able to drive once again as soon as it turns up Will update this thread when I hear back from department of fair trading.
  12. I know how tuning works. I posted the thread for positive answers, and as to where I stand legally over the password protection and him trying to make me pay him hundreds of dollars to unlock the computer. I have no desire to play with the tune that is in the car, nor have anyone else play with the tune. I simply wanted to be able to access it for diagnostics, as I said previously.
  13. Yes, my mechanic, my tuner and myself spent hours looking and testing before we found the problem. I never said that the tune was shit or that it was the reason for the problem. What I was up in arms about is the fact that I own the car and the computer but cannot acces it (not even for diagnostics), and also having Southside dynos trying to extort money out of me for.
  14. Hadouken The problem has been found, and I have ordered a replacement part already, after quite a lot of time trying to find the problem. Nizmo 3.2ish Listen to this guy, he gets why I'm pissed off. The previous owner did not ask for the computer to be password protected, nor did the tuner disclose to him that he put a password on it. Motor has been built from ground up, also running a t04 turbo, about 600-650hp at all wheels. I will be having a new tune installed by my tuner in the near future
