  1. Hi all, My 1996 Series 2 R33 is making some rather loud noises from the diff, and increases in loudness with speed. Just clicked over 170,000kms on original motor. A friend has a R32 GTR diff sitting around and was wondering if it would fit. Any ideas? Will it bolt off and bolt on? And would the diff ratios be different? Cheers, Jared
  2. You guys are absolutely magic! I just got my car back after having all my mods done (4 weeks of not being started), and we had to jump start the car. The air bag light came on flashing while driving. Put up with it for a few days, and then found this on SAU! You guys are absolute champions! My car is also a S2 R33. Thanks for the fix! Jared
  3. had the same problem bud, upgrade to Splitfire coil packs and hey presto, problem fixed. just make sure you get the right ones for your engine. rb20 / rb25
  4. Hey guys, this was my first SAU event ever, I had my car up at Allstar during the week and Richard told me I should come up on Saturday and watch all the other skylines. Glad I did, I have just purchased a Power FC and hand controller for my S2 R33 so should get some decent power figures and be keen to chuck it up on the dyno in May. From just a spectators point of view, I think the event was extremely well planned, looked like everyone had a lot of fun (I know I did ) I'd like to thank the people from SAU and Allstar for putting together such a well organised day and the people who helped behind the scenes. See you all again soon no-doubt!!! Jared
  5. are you saying the ecu has an ignitor built in? i think you might be referring to coil packs. Series 1 coil packs have an ignitor built in, where as series 2 does not.
  6. Excellent pics Cubes. They should help a lot of people. Are they Series 1 or 2 coil packs? Guys, I have a S2 1996 R33 GTS-T. I have only just noticed by car misfiring in the last week. Started boosting my car to 12psi (mods include fmic, pod, cat-back exhaust) and started misfiring around the 3000rpm mark. Took the boost controller off and now it's missing once the standard solenoid opens up at 4500rpm and hits 7-8psi. There is a substantial loss of power in this rev range. I have bought a set of second hand series 2 for $100 and am going to get these installed later in the week by my mechanic. Hopefully it does fix the problem!
  7. Thanks for all your comments guys, Appreciated.
  8. Hi All, Not 100% sure if i'm allowed to ask questions about a particular business - so please let me know/delete if this is inappropriate. But i'd like to know everyones comments (Please - No Flaming) on Sun Shield @ Maroochydore. I am considering getting a fair amount of work done there on my ride and just after general info if it is a quality job etc. Cheers! Chris.
