I have been noticing the same thing price wise. I am looking at buying a 34 turbo sedan and yet the prices for the things are still pushing 15k in a lot of places. I think people have an unreasonable idea of just how much their cars are worth and don't check out redbook for even a basic idea.

No infact as stated they are able to set up like that purley becuase people slow down for camera then speed up again, i don't like it but they can do it. The best one i ever saw was on the way to work one day 1 car in the truck inspection station on ramp at burbengary then a k up the road another car in the emergency stopping area and then another 2 k later a camera

my mechanic saw that and took a pic of the car to show us when he got back to the workshop, danm one messed up skyline

The biggest problems with these is that it is left up to the cops discretion as to whats illegal (as seen by what happened to ToMMaH) and that your car getting impounded is punishment before trial and therefore perverting the coarse of justice (only way i can put it its probley got some legal definition) by being guilty before proven innocent. What we need here in Aus is an organization to stand up for our rights as car enthusiests, we are getting persecuted becuase we enjoy our cars and want to make them unique. Now I am not talking about defending hooning or drink driving or similar I am purley againt these illegal modifications laws as we have no actual list of what the cops can target us with, QLD transport's own booklet dosn't cover most of the stuff we can do to our cars and tech is evolving all the time. Say in my case I have a GFB deceptor pro blow off valve, on the roads i drive with it set to plumb back and when i goto the track i open it up but all it needs is one over zelous cop to take exception to me over it and i could potentialy lose my car due to it being an illegal modification. (and i am not even going to get into the whole battery pan hole cutting thing) So everyone I encourage you to step up and say NO MORE, We demand fairness which includes cops who don't specificaly target us becuase of our cars when there are clapped out bangers on the road that are a danger to everyone, A list of what is actualy illegal in the goverments eye and a leniancy if its obvious we are going to the track as to what mods are on the car at the point (seriously who can afford to take a mechanic with them or get a towtruck to the track everytime)

not that that will count for anything, he will just change it to suit his own needs

it sounds like the cop was just stuck up his own ass, if 2 roadworthy places clear it go to his station and demand to see his boss and say tell them where to shove the ticket

I say stick it out dude, not just for you but for the car enthusiest community as a whole cop's for too long have been able to claim we have defects without knowing what they are talking about

Actualy it does, under the type 2 hoon laws cars can be taken for illegal modifications as they call it, its something i have been trying to get a group together and start fighting on a political level but am not having much luck

alot of cops also have the recording watch's so always assume your being recorded by at least 2 devices.

They break their own rules when it comes to placement. blatent revenue raising one i saw the other day. Sitting on the side of hte road in a 60 zone coming back from the port of brisbane just before the corner where you can turn off to fort lyton, i have never seen an accident there (its a straight piece of road) the only reason they put it there i can determin is to get anyone who might have missed the 60 sign.

that approch sounds best but don't forget guys he is there to argue a locked diff defect charge so the majistrate has to take that into account. The face he replaced stuff will help his case but becuase the original chage was for a locked diff he is innocent

APC are danm good when it comes to evo's and wrx's avoid them for anything else. For nissans in my opinion you can't beat East Coast Customs at Kedron, I know its a hike but it worth it (i live in logan and go to them) they regularly have skylines being worked on there as well as silvias and 180's (they are doing my engine build at the moment) Give Rob a call on 33595466

r34kid, when it comes to traffic stuff in court these days the only prove beyond resonable doubt and innocent until proven guilty dosn't apply anymore, at least thats the way it is looking.
