  1. Wondering if the R33 calipers are slighty less bulky than the r32 ones? Was considering fitting these up to my car to sort out clearance issues with some second hand wheels i just bought. The wheels are the same size n offset as stock r34 wheels, I knew R34 stockers dont clear the R32 front brakes but got told that mine would be OK.
  2. Where did you go in ACT to get that wheel cleaned up?
  3. Hey can anyone on here recommend an good automotive engineer in the ACT? Would prefer one that knows something about Skylines or imports in general.
  4. Sorry to hear about your bad luck Chris. Was going to recommend a few places not to take your car to but hopefully those guys will do a good job.
  5. What size rims are the R34 stockers? Did they fit up with no hassles?
  6. Cheers for the advice, and the friendly reminder
  7. Ok i've found a set of wheels that look allright...however I got told that i'll need some adaptor to fit them over the R32's front brakes. I seem to dimly remember these adaptor plates (or whatever they are) not being legal? Does anyone know about them?
  8. Does anyone know what you have to do to get wider wheels approved by the ACT RTA? (Damn R32 with its 6.5 inch stockers) Wanna go to about 8inches all round but want it road legal for insurance. The only decent japanese wheels start around that size it seems too.
  9. Lookin to buy a set of wheels in the near future. Lookin at a set of KSpeed wheels at the moment. Does anyone know what they're really like in terms of quality, weight etc? Also what do you guys think about black wheels on a gun metal grey car?
  10. A while ago I found the words "f**k You" engraved on the rear quarter of my car. Not sure if it was little kids or some gutless wonder with a chip up his arse. Luckily that side of the car was getting sprayed for some minor damage already.
  11. thrtytwo my car is also a Type M according to FAST! The Nissan Australia guy who ordered the parts told me that the black type bar was the one that came with the car originally. Either that or he was covering his arse for ordering the wrong one from Japan! At the smash repairers the guy compared the two and pointed out that the original (grey) one had nothing on it to indicate that it was a genuine nissan part. It also seemed to be made out of a different material so he thought it must have been aftermarket. If anyone can come up with the part numbers for the different R32 front bars that would be a big help. Parts will be getting ordered for my car shortly.
  12. Post the photos you have and we should be able to tell which colour it is.
  13. Here are some pics of front bars which I am confused about. The grey one is the type that was on my car when i got it from Japan. Most GTS-ts I have seen have this one. Unfortunately, after an front end accident, it was replaced with a "genuine" Type M front bar from Nissan Australia. It looked kinda like the black one. At the time i didnt raise a fuss about the different bars because I just wanted my car back from the smash repairs. But i have just had another crash in the same spot and will be replacing the front bar again. I wanna get one like it was originally (as they look so much better). Therefore if anyone knows the different part numbers for the two bars that would be a great help. Also curious to know if anyone else has seen the black type around.
  14. I really hate dickheads that speed up when you go to overtake...what is wrong with these people and what are they trying to prove? Whats worse for me though are the f**kwits who tailgate 1 metre behind you at 100kph. Obviously they dont care about having their car/face smashed up in a high speed accident!
  15. I called Shannons and the consultant told me that they would never insure a jap import as a daily driver, and that they only deal with "classic" cars. I ended up going with Just Car.
