  1. Congrats Liam. Grate job. Was a good weeks racing. Plenty of ups and downs for most people. Was grate to catch up with most of the SAUers.
  2. Ill see all you Nissan enthusiasts around te traps. Service crew again this year with the les walkden rally team. The new format will be interesting. I'm not to sure its heading down the right road thoe. Proof will be in the pudding. Looking forward to poatina stu!
  3. Nearly 3 years later just dug up this jem. I've had a gtt for a while but don't find the time to tinker with it. I got quite the surprise when I pulled the door trim off looking for a blown glob or missing holder. Ill be doing this mod very soon.
  4. Online tutorials is the easiest way to get the basics. Or as silly as this may sound. Go and ask to do work experiance at an electrical workshop for a week. They may give you shit jobs but they will explain what you want to know during your time there. We would have 6-12 work experiance people a year through our workshop and they quite often come in after wards and get supplies and information/ help with there projects.
  5. To finish first. First you must finish. Never a truer saying. Plenty of people can be quick but it's an endurance even not time attack. Targa history is full of people that nearly made
  6. Congrats on the win liam top effort keeping it on the road. And the just jap team top effort one tear higher this year. First next year.

  8. It's more of a time attack car as its only good for a hand full of laps. Althoe sports gt may be on the cards for later this year. Will see how the year pans out.
  9. Hey bushy. Yes just managed to crack the minute with a 58 flat. Second fastes car of the day behind garwoods Porsche cup car. Super awesome track can't wait to go again.
  10. I'll be a mobile speed hump this year. 5 cars to look after. High chance of podium finishes accross 3 classes. I wanted a layed back targa but I doubt that will happen. We had launcestons un official, official targa launch last night. Was good to catch up with like minded people. The field is definatly down this year. Wheels are in motion for 2015/16 seat. 25th anaversary should be worth attending.
  11. Waiting on a reply to pm or text. I've revived half of my order. Still waiting on a response about the other half please.
  12. Hey all Light car club of Tas are holding a club day at basky tomorrow for anyone with nothing ti do and wanting to get a motorsport fix. Free spectating. And if you want to drive bring some cash as they take entries on the day. There will be a few fast Porsches toranas skylines supras and a good mix of cars in between. If its dry there should be plenty of sub minute cars. Like Matt Rodgers high hp supra and current gt class lap record holding Porsche cub car of Greg garwoods Lcct are a launceston car club and are holding a club day at basky as part of there super sprint championships. I'll have my drift car there and fingers crossed its dry because I've only ever grip lapped my car in the wet at basky. Keen to crack the minute with the car putting down back to back 58sec laps at symmons 2 weeks ago.

  14. Wow, its been a few months since Ive been on SAU. I had to read the last few pages to work out what I have actually done with this car the drift vid above was the last outing for 2013. i put it in the shed and didn't look at it until a few weeks ago. ive had a mate Sam come and repair both rear quarters for me. then he brought an even better sam with him, Sams mate Sam to paint it for me this all happened fairly fast. the car has under gone a fairly big change cosmetically and its not quite complete so the photos vary a bit as parts have been added. the list of parts and new year mods are..... New turbo compressor housing and intercooler piping change = retune and cam timing adjustment to net approx. 350rwkw. oil cooler finally installed rear defuser remade brought origin wing finally got gtr n1 lip to go with origin wing changed driver seat to velo seat from old targa car fitted dba 4000 rotors front, Project mu club racer pads front and endless pads rear. braided brake lines all round (belive it or not ive ran stock brake lines for 5 years) above pads and rotors fixed some of my braking issues but i also adjusted brake master cylinder to fix other issues re mounted front sway bar properly as id been running no front bar for 12months brought CF headlight duct and canards (arrived this week) Got gtr front bar ready for canards repaired body work and painted car added side skirts ive done 2 events sofar for 2014. 1 club day where i bettered my pb buy 0.1sec. and a 7km hill climb, by far the best event ive ever driven keen to do more hill climbing. some people may have seen the vids from poatina mountain race but here they are again <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/zr1-hHjomFs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> the official vid staring the dashing Benno who for the people that know him had a very successful run in his personal rx7 the following weekend. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/dOC7vEhhEBo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> some raw sound. the new compressor housing gives the turbo a sweet sound <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/w7rtcqLNkY8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> there is a few club sprint days coming up and they are what im doing most at the moment so ill try and update with some of the changes
  15. Ive not had anything to do with the MM events but id hardly say targa events are stress full. they seem to get more and more layed back every event if you want stress full rallies give gravel rallying a go. id rather do 5 days of pace notes than one of gravel and road books and proper timing. the one day events like the old buller sprints and poatina mountain race I think will become far more popular as I find most people I talk to don't have the time to put into multi day events
