  1. Another vote for MSY here. They are usually the cheapest. I bought/had a computer built by them at the Clayton store. I'm guessing I was very fortunate as I was served by an American fellow called Steve who was incredibly helpful. I know a fair bit about computers but Steve's advice and direction in designing a computer for my purpose was invaluable. I was expecting little assistance from them in regard to choosing my set up. I thought it would be a matter of give them the build details and they build it but I was pleasantly surprised by the advice and input received. The only thing is I believe that my experience may have been an exception rather than the rule as I have heard from others that the staff can be not overly helpful at times. Anyway, I would suggest speaking to Steve at the Clayton store if you need a computer built as I am very happy with my purchase.
  2. I think I have found my new desktop wallpaper. If a high res version could be posted I would be much appreciative.
  3. My understanding is that in 2000 (approx Aug-Oct) Nissan released an update for the R34 GTR: -V-Spec became V-Spec 2 and got carbon bonnet, updated interior, aluminum pedals, larger rear rotors, clear front and side indicators etc -Non V-Spec was still non V-Spec yet got the updated black cloth interior, aluminum pedals, slightly larger rear rotors, clear front and side indicators etc but no carbon bonnet, no front or rear diffusers, slightly softer suspension (I think?) and an MFD that didn't include intake and exhaust temps. Therefore it is possible to get a 2000 model GTR V-Spec (from Jan to Aug-Oct) or GTR V-Spec 2 (Aug-Oct onward) Also I believe that the front V-Spec diffuser was a factory option for non V-Spec GTR's. EVOIV is also right regarding the spacing 0-3,000rpm on the tacho. This makes me think that the GTR in question is not a genuine v-spec or has had a dash swap (I cant see if it has the rear diffuser, intake and exhaust temps on the MFD). Ultimately the best way to check a GTR is buy using Nissan FAST and running the VIN. There are too many people out there fiddling GTR's and claiming things they shouldn't.
  4. Unfortunately I had a run in with a pole and have damaged my pride and joy. I am now looking to sell it all and move on. At this point I would prefer not to part out the car as I really don't have the space or tools. The car is as stated a 1997 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS25T with 149***kms ENGINE: Apexi power FC GCG hi flowed turbo (450hp) 3 inch exhaust including recently installed Catco cat and stainless steel 80mm Trust PE2 catback Tomei 256 poncams 550cc Sard injectors Bosch 040 fuel pump Hybrid gt spec FMIC (piping damaged in places but core untouched) Z32 air flow meter with Tomei plug (maybe damaged but unsure) OS Gieken cam gear alloy catch can Exedy 5 puk heavy duty clutch installed 5,000 kms ago Lightened fly wheel Front and rear strut braces Splitfire coilpacks Always used motul oils sevice at least every 5,000km's INTERIOR: Apexi AVC-R black edition Blitz FATT turbo timer Auto meter colt gauges (boost, oil and water temp) Alpine head unit (not sure of the model but its good) Focal front and rear speakers 2 Alpine V12 amps Alpine type R 12IN sub (removes in about 1 min) Nismo gear knob EVERYTHING ELSE: Tein fully adjustable coilover suspension Tein adjustable castor rods 19in Starcorp fusion wheels (much wider at the back but i cant remember exact dimensions) Federal 595 SS rubber all round. (235 front with 80% tread left, 265 rear with 98% tread left) Nismo clear side indicators Registered until July 2010 ADDITIONAL: I have most the stock parts and others still for this car including - injectors - coilpacks - gear knob - ECU - AFM - cams - fuel pump - indicators - cam gear - and probably a few others that I have forgotten Stock parts I don't have are: - exhaust - wheels - suspension - intercooler Although in the photos there is no picture of the front bar or the Hybrid GT intercooler i do have both of them. The front bar is badly damaged and one of the sets of lights is broken. The intercooler core is fine. I will update with more pictures in a day or two. I also have a few other random parts lying around that I am prepared to throw in including Apexi and Blitz pod filters, brake pads, Genuine Nissan car cover and other bits that I will post up as I find them. I have receipts for this car adding up to well over $20,000 At the moment I am looking for $7,000 neg. Contact details: Steve Email: [email protected] Mob: 0417357502
  5. This may be what you are looking for.
  6. -rear view mirrors $30 each Does that refer to the wing mirrors. If so I would be happy to take the passenger side wing mirror.

    Got Defected!

When I last got a major defect, went to Vicroads with my RWC and the lady didn't even bother checking the car just cleared it on the spot. I can't help but think that the fact it was 4.30pm on a Friday had something to do with it.
  8. My bet is that you have a standard ECU which will retard timing and run rich when you try and push boost past 10psi. You need an aftermarket computer or a Apexi SAFC or similar at the very least.
  9. That sucks mate. I live in the same area and have seen your car many times. Will keep an eye out. I thought parking on the street in our area was safe.....
  10. I believe they were an option on at least series 2 cars. I don't have a wiper on my 97 R33 GTS25T either
  11. Dunno if these are 19" or 20" either way the offset is good and may provide you with a point of reference. I think 20's are too big even for street shoes. 18's are probably the best performance wise and the tyres are cheaper too. I do like 19's on 33's as I myself have them but have come to realise that 18's would suffice.
