  1. congrats on the purchase a truely awsome car build by one of the best track workshops. going to a deserving owner. I remember when you got you gtt. what a long time ago. cheers meggala 6 years on I still miss my ceffy
  2. hey funky been a long time since I was on here . found this the other day to bring back memories enjoy meggala inarks cef in full flight
  3. I did this conversion to a cefiro as couple of years ago. it is worth while. my r32 rb25de stock with 21/4 " exhaust made 115 rwkw this made the car very nice to drive . my previous rb20 de in a skyline made 86rwkw for a comparison. so basically it makes the same power a a stock boost rb20det. we didn't develop the car any further but i feel there was another 10 to 15 rwkw in there with some tuning extractors and cam upgrade. motor dropped in fine no issues stock manual gear box was fine as well. cheers meggala
  4. too make you dribble http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h58500837
  5. mint ceffys are vey nice. the best of the cefiro/laurels I got was a laurel with brown suede interior and tv in the dash that even worked here only sbs though.
  6. to inspire you this is a photo I got quite a few years ago of an rb30de with 25 head. the rb26 head has the sodium filled valves as well good luck with it enjoy
  7. the research I did ages ago around 300 fly wheel hp is pretty close to the limit getable from an rb25/30 150 rwkw is what you will get. I got 115 rwkw from my stock rb25 de. I would go rb25/30 with the head from a de r32 cast pistons but get comp ratio up to 10.5 -11 to one 272 or bigger cam. and I would consider the cheaper power adder if you was it for drags nos. dont stress about front facing plenum yet get the thing running. 2 1/4 " exhasut. s you would need rb20 det injectors. rb20 box should be plenty. cheers have fun
  8. I have these rims sitting around if your interested. the front rims and 4 are included they are 4 and 5 stud i think 7 fronts and 8 rear . looking for 1k +20 off set from memory un roadwrthy rubber on them
  9. If the the rb25de is ok why not jsut turbo that? heaps of peopel ahve dome that b4 cheers meggala
  10. I dont post here much any more but this is worth it congrats guys its about time. cheers meggla
  11. been there done that with kiwi. I had a car with 1/4 panel damage I didn't waste my time claiming I voted with my feet. kiwi are a cowboy shipping company. meggala
  12. great thinking the car will need a tune and may be the timing played with performance wont be that bad either. stick with the stock computer cause the rb25de has different size injectors. if it need a new computer then swap it for the non turbo computer and non turbo injectors but also remember to keep the turbo computer and injectors. this is a good way to counter the new laws and gives you a good base to work with ie better brakes etc. and when eligable you should be able to bolt the turbo back up cheers meggala
  13. one of the best upgrades you could do if you want to be stay n/a say for insurance reasons etc. is to drop an drop in an rb25 de these can be picked up for around $1000 or less all your bolts ons from the rb20de will fit. my stock rb25de with only a 2.25" exhaust and pod made 105/107 rwkw cant remember exactly. they are a great motor. my first skyline was an rb20de it made aroudn 88 rwkw with simlar mods to the rb25de. th erb25de de option might sound expensive but it will give you the best dollar for dollar returns. the only better one is to turbo your current motor meggala
  14. btw in all the years on this and the older forums I have never heard a genuine gripe from anyone insured with just cars my car are insured through them. jackie is right to get full comp insurance. here is why. you are most likey to have an accident withing the first 6 months of owning a turbo car. after that the risk become less and you will find that the just cars premiums reflect this. first year 2.2 k second year lets say 1700 next year 1300 btw these aren't actual prices but as a guide. I know of peopel who are 21 and pay 12 or 1300 a year to insure a gtr cause they bit the bullit early and are reaping the rewards later. meggala
