Get a Porsche Cayenne as there is no trouble selling cars like that especially with the amount of high end Euro cars coming out of the UK. I just pitted a 2008 997 and before it was even registered I had guys I know hitting me up to see if the owner wanted to sell. At least the Cayenne doesn't look like a Hyundai.

Another issue is if you purchase an interstate car and you only have a WA licence once the vehicle crosses the border into WA it isn't registered any more, another one of the lovely WA rules. People buy a car sometimes and drive it back not knowing it is unregistered once they cross the border. Same as some import dealers are registering cars in NSW for a day or two after selling then sending over to WA thinking they can cut corners. It makes no difference at the pits as you need to own the car for over 12 months to avoid an inspection. So the car people are driving around for a couple of weeks on NSW plates till they find time to get to the pits being un-registered it is not insured even with that over the phone cover note. Unfortunately for the people bringing the cars over it isn't a well know fact till they get pulled over.

DPI are onto it and many other things because they have been told what to check by DOTARS, they give briefs when they visit after the pieces of crap coming from over east. A vehicle is not to be modified from time of compliance till registration, when the car goes over the pits it is to be same as what workshop signed it off at. People know it doesn't always happen but that is a risk now the workshops are less likely to take just to give some stranger a break on cost's.

With suspension it will have to be standard, R32 GTR seats & wheels can be done if the workshop is prepared to do the correct paperwork, out of interest who is doing it. DPI are onto new charcoal canisters and new cats fitted so get the local workshop to pit pass it if they are leaving out things to get the price down. 440,000 FOB is cheap.
