  1. I drive a r31 Pintara wonderful car new condation have SAU stickers on, got the nod, wave and smile when I came down to Brisbane from Hervey Bay on a flying one day visit Queens birthday long weekend. I know Pintara guys are the butt of jokes but it was nice to see friendly faces from drivers in the more modern skylines. As a side note the old lady left many behind coming down the highway she still got it, all I have done is change exhaust all the way and strut brace...

  3. Yes I am a Pintara owner, 1986 R31 and a grand lady she is I live here in Hervey Bay . Bought her in December 08 a one owner car sold by elderly couple as they had trouble turning due to no power steering, I paid $2000 on road that's Dept Transport fees not bad and she might be old but like new except air cond not working. When I bought her just ticked over 100 00km genuine I checked with their mechanic and in 2006 she had her first timing belt at 98 000km there is no doubt she as been well serviced. This car never left the Wide bay area in its life everything very local as they lived in the country just outside the Bay she just did the odd trip to Maryborough and the Bay. Very nice drive comfy and auto still tight, 78kmh 4th kicks in and she sure can move her tail when I ask her to. I have changed exhaust to 2in all the way to manifold and a sports muffler so on her first run to Brisbane average was 34mpg Just fitted a front strut brace and its good not to back of on some corners now, tyres and wheels still good not sure on lowering as we do have the little critters and big ones that like to cross the road at night, cleaned up a fox couple of months back car ok fox umm bit ugly. Always like the shape just something about the cube but not easy to find good ones these days. if a skyline come around would have been nice but a Pini will do plus rego cheaper and still does the speed limit and a bit more.
  4. Old Lady she is called yes r31 Pintara but genuine 100 000 km when I bought her in December 08, A one owner car that never left the Wide Bay here I checked with their mechanic on its history. in 2006 first timing belt at 98 000 km car still like new and a good ride and auto box still tight very well serviced car. In December 08 took her on her first trip to the big smoke Brisbane on the trip down and back we averaged about 34 mpg. I have all ways like the shape maybe as I am a little old and a square some say is the reason I like the cube on wheels. Just a great car all round maybe no 6 cyl but she can shake her tail. Have fitted 2in Exhaust, Sports Muffler, Sports Catalytic Converter when I picked her up this made her come alive. Should have a strut brace Monday nearly a new one for $100 from a very dead r31 Leave wheels as they are tyres good and if you lower your car out here you hit rubbish and wild life on the open road
