From my experience a dump pipe wont cause that, unless the o2 sensor is stuffed... have a read of this thread

This is a never ending issue with rb20's... the last time this happened to me i ended up replacing the tps and it fixed it. Cleaning the aac valve might help too...

Very hard to find one with someone willing to supply a rwc. And a lot are on club reg aswell now.

All used ones these days are no good bud! I bought a non genuine ebay one brand new for $150 and seems to be working fine.
