  1. My battery is almost 3 years old, and don't find any problems if I drive it everyday. --- My local auto-electrician recommend what they stock:- fully sealed battery with 430CCA. Does more CCA mean anything after the car is running?? I will definitely get that checked too... thanks for the advice guys~
  2. Thanks RANDY, I am looking at spending around $150 for this next battery, but it wouldn't be until it's having problems if I don't drive, say, over the weekend. So, what sort of battery do you have? what are the CCA and RC rating on it? Cheers, Andy
  3. Hey, Last week, I have a slight problem with my battery I think. My R33 wouldn't start after 2 or 3 weeks and I had to jump it to get the car going. It's okay now, since I drive it every day. However I would like to know if it's about time to change the battery, which is purchased in March 2003. Do I need a battery soonish? What CCA and RC rating should I be looking at? What brands do people recommend?! Thanks in advance!! /Andy
  4. I personally recommend Provident crash repairs (on the east, 15-20mins from CBD). I got quoted $500 for painting and fitting a pair of side skirts.
  5. Okay to tell you the truth... they are not bright enough for me, I can't see what speed I am going at most of the time... probably will put more drilling and LEDs in later on.

  7. Yeah, I thought all camelry has ABS as well, give that its a family car, but I was able to make the wheels lock easy, or doesn't ABS work well at high speeds? Skidding sideways is fun and scary at the same time for me though.... My mums camry handles alright, rolls a little less than others as its a touring edition, but I also put some avs tyres on them....
  8. I can now say I am the shittiest driver in the world... Today took my old camry to service and organized a test drive with the new camry (they gave some crappy 2.4L one thought) Took it anyway, and decided to go to the Monarto zoo (70km from city) with my girlfriend. On the way there, I was just driving like 120kph on the highway... almost overtaking all the time with this other car... and yes I was in the O/T lane... until all of a sudden the car in front pulled to the left, and there's a dead koala on the road. I react like a wuss and swerved a little... traction on the FWD was lost temporarily, but I swear I almost pissed myself... yes laugh... but I just want to give a word of advice, always try to leave a distance so that you can see well ahead of you. Later on, leaving the freeway to the monarto exit. I saw the "Reduce speed" sign alright.. so started to brake. Okay... the speed "felt" very slow.... but as I approach the end of the exit... I realise I was still at 80.... but I had to turn... so I braked.... and the wheels lock.... and skidded for about 10metres.... can will my faeces urging to rush out.... another advice, on highway/freeway exits watch your speeds! in my case, I didn't know how the car would handle. I assume it was like my other old 3L camry... but this one is heavier and no ABS... so I made a deadly mistake not knowing the cars capability. Four big mistakes in one day.... felt lucky that I am alive. Most people don't have my problems, but I think I pose an example of how not to drive on highway/freeway. Hope people can learn from my mistakes too.
  9. I did about the same as you, but mine were really dodgy~~ but have a look anyway. Andy
  10. Just wandering what's in the head job package? Wide body Guards, GTR (or andy) Bumper, Carbon bonnet / stock(?) and Xenon Headlights? $3000 looks cheap for just those parts... But I know, it's a hell lot of a head job, especially the labour.
  11. Now imagine S13 to R34 fron conversion....
  12. Attendence.... I wasn't a big fan of attending lectures. After all, I mangage first two years of uni with less than 30% attendence...... lectures were either too early or too late for me... Anyways in third year, I made a change to attend to more lectures.... realised that I have more friends now.... my grades improved.... (more people to "help" me with assignments)... just last year in my fourth year... I only missed about two subjects (or topics)... I will put in 90% in this semester to come... and see how that goes... in hope to get a job when I finish uni... Good luck every one in 2005
  13. yeah... what did he get at the end? I was guessing rroughly 293.1491521rwkw
  14. I haven't got a PFC.... but judging from what I know about computer PS/2 Interface... there are 6 pins plus a plastic tab to hold the plug.... maybe the PFC unit has only pings for 5 holes.... so it will plug in after breaking one of the pin... Anyway... I was going to point out..."A handy trick powerfc owners use when they take car in for a service/work to be done they set the rev limit to 30000rpm and remove the hand controller." Maybe you would like to change that...
