  1. Turned out to be the trans. The torque converter had actually seized onto the shaft inside the transmission. A replacement box was put in and it went away. 700 short of a manual convert. Cheers, Nick.
  2. That's the noise fella's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O380rhiv0uA&feature=youtu.be
  3. BWRGTR: Yeah I know they are. Didn't realise it would be that different on 5 cylinders. Thoughts guys? Possible piston slap maybe?
  4. I filmed the car on but the file is apparently to big (16 point something MB). DVS JEZ: It originally did it in drive, not keen on trying again in case it f@!?s it more that it already is. Hadukeno: I was boosting it round the area with a couple of mates, nothing too crazy. Just checked the oil, was just slightly low, nothing that seemed out of the ordinary for.
  5. Haha well I've got a 13 hour day tomorrow so I'll definitely post a video after work tomorrow. Currently it's got quality NGK plugs and Splitfires. Would hate to think it's a coil pack.
  6. Was told about it before I bought it. Apparently a retune was needed. But I haven't had the time or money to pay for it.
  7. Will record it asap. Dno if it helps but in the past the car was misfiring on odd occasion when revved past 4,500rpm.
  8. Hi guys, first post on here. Bought this beauty a month and a half ago (See below). Slowly things are going wrong. - Warped front discs. - Squeek from front left wheel. (Wheel bearing???) - Squeek from the front when over various bumps on the road. (Co-worker said springs or shocks would be on the way???) And now finally when accelerating out on a bend and got to around 3,000rpm and a knocking started. So pulled over, switched it off. Waiting 5-10 minutes started it up and it was still there so I decided to get it towed home to be safe. $160 later the towie dropped it off half way up my long ass driveway and wasn't able to be pushed up the rest of the way so I reversed it the rest of the way. The knocking was there at idle but once it started to gain a little bit of speed while reversing it into the garage it stopped. Once back in park (Yes an automatic, don't hate) it started again. But I switched it off straight away. Locked her up and said good night. Now the time has come to do something about it. I am an apprentice mech. But the fella's at work aren't giving my much help as they know nothing about imports. So here I am. Has this happened to anyone here? Does anyone know what it could be? P.s. A co-worker at my other job and old owner of my rig said it may be a coil pack and the knocking is because it's running on 5 cylinders. Cheers, Nick.
