The original engine blew the head gasket and I had an engine laying around from my brothers hr31 had around 80000 kms on it so that was put in instead of changing the head gasket. The gearbox is from grand auto and they said it was removed from a car with around 80000 kms on it. When the engine was swapped over I also made sure to do all the turbo gaskets..manifold gaskets etc. I also did the rear main seal, thermostat and changed all filters and fluids. The engine that was put in is a lot stronger than the old in both age and performance. I still have the old engine, a spare redtop and spares that will come with the car Any questions feel free to ask
  2. The time has come to sell my r32 and i still have a gates rb20det timing belt kit laying around that was never fitted. The kit is brand spanking new. I am after $150 for it pickup is in the southern suburbs of Adelaide ( Happy Valley ) Contact me on either here or mobile ( 0420278922 ). I would prefer mobile but either one is fine.
  3. Hey, I have recently had my engine swapped over (it only took a year and a half) but I cannot for the life of me remember how the ECU was mounted. I have this big mess I need to sort out so I was wondering if someone could post a picture of how the ECU is meant to be seated so I have some sort of guideline on putting it back in. Thankyou in advance!
  4. This may be a silly question but would the bolt for the upper control arm fit for this? im meant to be picking one up today and i asked for a rear upper control arm bolt.
  5. ok after moving the car around a bit and having another look it seems that i am missing a bolt, must have fallen out while i was driving. I take it that this is the upper control arm? im pretty new to these sorts of things. Thanks
  6. i did have a look underneath....could not see anything out of the ordinary.
  7. All of a sudden when i was driving home today my rear passenger side tyre started scraping on the gaurd when i am driving around right hand turn. It hasnt happened till today and now its doing it around most right hand turns. I pulled the car over and i noticed that when i lock to the right that the rear passenger side lowers so the tyre sits under the gaurd, it does not do it when i lock to the left with the rear drivers side. any suggestions? Thanks.
