<p>
	Hi guys,
</p>

<p>
	I've had my Skyline since 2005, and I was always a Skyline lover, but never a car enthusiast. In my younger years I kept thinking about all the things I was going to do with it, but it ended up just being a car to be driven from point A to point B. Eventually I got a company car for about 5 years, so it just sat in the garage, and by the end of that period, I definitely had no more desire to do anything with it. It is now getting older and needs more love than I am willing or capable of offering it, and it has quite a few issues, so I thought I'd come and list those here and see if anybody could let me know what they believe would be a fair price if I were to sell it privately, to someone who is into tinkering with cars as it's currently just sitting in my garage, and has for about 4 months, and I don't have any plans of turning it into anything more than it currently is.
</p>

<p>
	Here we go:
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Details:</strong><br />
	Nissan, Skyline R33, GTS-T, Manual, 1994, 201,000km, imported in 2005 at 103,000km
</p>

<p>
	<strong>The good: </strong><br />
	Absolutely stock standard, never even had an exhaust installed.<br />
	Never trashed (lost license for speeding 5 months into getting my license, never had it in me to lose it again and haven't)<br />
	No drags/events<br />
	Never been in an accident<br />
	Racing timing belt kit installed 5 months ago<br />
	Never been smoked in
</p>

<p>
	<strong>The not so good:</strong><br />
	Back shocks are gone<br />
	AC pulley is gone<br />
	Power-steering pump has been replaced but leaks pretty badly (I think it's just the seal)<br />
	Clutch has been feeling a bit soft in recent times. Haven't run into issues with it though. Probs just needs a bleed.<br />
	Some asshole tried to steal it and damaged the driver-side lock (looks fine, doesn't turn)<br />
	Paint needs a touch-up (nothing major, the underside of the front bodykit has some larger scrape marks and some isolated spots on the car, nothing bigger than 2-3cm)<br />
	Head gasket needs to be replaced<br />

</p>

<p>
	That's about it. I'm interested in what you guys think I could sell it for to an enthusiast, or what you think would be worth my time having fixed to avoid being low-balled too hard.
</p>

<p>
	Please keep in mind, I'm not looking to sell it here, so please try to give me advice if you can as opposed to low-balling me some offers.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you in advance!
</p>

	So I been shopping around for insurance and the agreed market value is complete bullshit. On average a 3.5k valuation for a Nissan Silvia that sells for at LEAST 8k on auction regardless of the condition. Just looking to get opinions if anyone here thinks 3rd party is worth it, cause comprehensive doesn't seem to be. i tried also Shannon's but because under 26, premium was off the charts, worse than any other insurer.

<p>
	Hey guys,
</p>

<p>
	I've been thinking about something lately. I've been driving around in my r33 gtst for quite some time now and I ran into a very clean rx7 with only 100.000 km. Now I've been trying to figure out if it would be worth to trade my r33 for a stock rx7. The car is completely stock.
</p>

<p>
	I was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with driving a stock rx7 compared to a stage 1 r33 gtst?
</p>

<p>
	What do you think? I mean in the end I'll be the one buying the car and everything but I'm just curious, has any of you ever driven the rx7 and if given the opportunity would you trade your r33 gtst?
</p>

<p>
	I'm not entirely sure yet whether I wanna do this so I'm trying to find as much information on the car as possible.
</p>

<p>
	Let me know what you guys think. <span><img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://www.sau.com.au/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" srcset="//cdn.sau.com.au/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" data-src="//cdn.sau.com.au/emoticons/default_smile.png"></span>
</p>

<p>
	It's really an icon of the nineties but I've always been a bit scared because of the stories concerning the rotary engine.
</p>

	ok completely stumped for the abs and 4wd light back. I have atessa code 24 (ets control unit, ground circuit).  searching for 6 days now before reaching out for help. I fixed a code 13 with a new g sensor about 2 weeks ago all was well. I have cleaned abs sensors even tho that's not the code. I have the car on jack stands right now with wheels off, if I put in first gear the front wheels will spin but not powered like back ones and tourque gauge will not move. I have checked all the wiring. relay clicks like crazy in the boot when first go to click ignition on to work on car in morning.  I have both bleed nipples completely opened wide open and can never get a stream of fluid to come out at any time only drip drip.  I know all about white clip bleed mode ive bled the car many times and have seen in the past quite a bit of fluid come out of nipple(remember it shooting on my face.)  im leaning toward empty nitrogen canister but don't have enough knowledge to know if the car will throw a code because of a faulty nitrogen accumulator.  the atessa ecu will only read the code if the car is running. the car is very stock suited with a set of 2860s. tuned with a haltec, but I am running stock injectors so I threw my old ecu in to see if make a difference but no cigar. sorry for the length of this, I know someone is gunna be mad at me as this is probably an easy fix but im over 50 k into this car because of just throwing money at it to fix issues and think I need to go about it different. mentally beat lol 6 days straight trying to get my 4wd back.

<p>
	Hi SAU,
</p>

<p>
	Came across this website <a href="https://www.lmctplus.com/" rel="external nofollow">https://www.lmctplus.com/</a>, GTRs supposedly being sold below market value (whatever that is) at $1 reserve auctions. Anyone have any experience with these guys? They gave away a Mines 34R from Vspec Performance here in Melbourne, to some kid in Sydney.
</p>

<p>
	They have a 410kw R33 GTR up for auction now <a href="https://www.lmctplus.com/1-auctions/" rel="external nofollow">https://www.lmctplus.com/1-auctions/</a>  looks to have VIC rego. How would you go about viewing the car? No one in their right mind would just bid on a GTR without seeing it first right?
</p>

<p>
	Is it all too good to be true? There must be a catch?
</p>

<p>
	I have seen some of their cars for sale on Carsales, not sure if they're still there though.
</p>

<p>
	I am tempted to pay the $20 for the one month membership just to see where the prices reach, has there been any feedback coverage of past auction winners? Can't seem to find any result for LMCTPlus here on SAU.
</p>

<p>
	If it's legit then surely this would be an awesome way of getting an R!
</p>

	Rescently installed a du lock version 2 g sensor to my car to get my 4wd working again(1993 GTR).  took it out felt great to have the awd again.  it has a way better response to the front wheels although I really want it to act more aggressive in the front earlier in the corner. I realize gtr's are rear wheel base and shift to the front when needed.  I am a fairly aggressive driver and enjoy weekends at the track and love the circuit setting.  I want to leave my gtr in circuit mode all the time as its kind of a pain to keep changing it back default for daily driving. am I gunna burn up my diff or transfer case doing this?  I have a new transfer case and nitrogen canister with a new atessa pump.  more worried about burning my front diff out with to much constant front torque applied to diff. thanks.

	(1993 skyline gtr) hey guys I know theres a million threads on 4wd not working but this ones a little weird. bought my car had no lights on dash but knew right away the 4wd wasn't working,(snow on ground easy to tell).  I traced it down to the g sensor code 13,  no big deal up to this point 4wd fixed. I got curious and pulled my 4wd fuse and turned the car on. I still have no 4wd light on my dash when I know my other gtr's in the past have put a light on dash with fuse out. ive been on the computer for 5 hours trying to find out why I cant get my light to come up on my dash even witht he 4wd fuse pulled.  hopefully someone can give some input, I live in Canada in an area where not much help with atessa system issues. need the boys to pull through here!

<p>
	So after what the mechanic did it made a world of difference and worked much better. But still sorta got the same issue which is that it stalls when going uphill. also the car idles bad the tachometer moves very slightly up and down here are videos from after what i did to try fix it and seems to be a bit better. The idle also sounds better with the aircon on. Here is what I've done so far to try fix it:
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	* New spark plugs from 2 months ago
</p>

<p>
	* Changed oil 2 times (first one for testing and it went black quite fast but now got brand new Penrite 10w-50 I think it is + filter)
</p>

<p>
	* Cleaned IACV Valve was quite dirty but don't know how much it is (gasket is broken but used some gasket filler no leaks, might replace gasket later)
</p>

<p>
	* Cleaned throttle body was filthy as well but didn't originally fix problem
</p>

<p>
	*  New radiator coolant
</p>

<p>
	* Cleaned pcv valve was dirty to but did rattle before cleaning and don't think it made much difference
</p>

<p>
	* Unplugged air flow sensor while car is on and it turned off so that indicates to me the sensor is good
</p>

<p>
	Don't know what it could be, don't think it's the coil packs, haven't checked oxygen sensor. What do you guys reckon it is? Maybe pressure plate? Don't think it's the head gasket. I wanna try work on some stuff until he arrives see if I can fix the problem in the mean time.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This first one is with air con on the idle sounds better and second one is with aircon off and idle sounds worse

<p>
	Alot of talk about gtst skylines is that they are very average from factory, so what exactly are they like when modified? For example with good coilovers, swaybars, diff, semi slicks etc how would they compare in performance to an Evo for example? Can they corner just as good or is AYC a major advantage they are missing? Can they corner good with softer springs? (the need to squat to put power down) With good tires what is the upper level of power you could use before you start running into traction issues in second gear etc
</p>

<p>
	I realise GTRs are a whole different animal but just how good can the gtst get around?

<p>
	I have a few questions is Why are they expensive and secondly has anybody ever looked at finding an alternative from another manufacture.

<p>
	Just anything that will fit in the hole. A new mounting brackets could be fabricated to accommodate an alternative.

<p>
	All,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	i am running one pipe from rocker cover to catch can and one from can to intake pipe as per standard setup .
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	there are two breather holes on rocker cover one of which connects to the other on the rocker cover and then connected to intake manifold
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	i have a 3 port baffled moshimoto catch can so will just block one of the in ports.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	my question is , do i gain anything by running two seperate pipes to catch can from rocker cover rather than following the existing standard setup?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	2. There is also a pcv valve, can i either block it or run it to the can?
</p>

<p>
	it goes from rocker directly to manifold
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	finally on rb25 neo, there is also a pipe from manifold to the intake and it is rubber sized around 30mm or so, what is that?
</p>

<p>
	So I have an r34 rb25de neo as a run around car and it has had a small missfire for a few years but not causing any problems.
</p>

<p>
	I have replaced the coil packs and plugs which seemed to fix this and over time it has started running really rough and rich (stinks of fuel) when it is cold and lacks a lot of power to the point where I struggle to do 50km per hr but seems to come ok after about 20 mins of driving.
</p>

<p>
	I have since re earthed the lead going to the coil packs and replaced the o2 sensor and coolent temp sensor. I have unplugged the afm when running and it changes the running and almost stalls when plugged back in so I assume that is working.
</p>

<p>
	Thoughts?

	Don't know if any one noticed but it looks as if the Maatouks R32 Skyline went 6.578 seconds in the quarter mile at 209.59 mph in late November !

<p>
	Is this now the record ?

<p>

	Greetings to all get together.<br />
	I have an idea, but I'm afraid that not everyone is aware of its significance and purpose. I have already tried to talk about it among my friends and unfortunately they did not appreciate it properly ...<br />
	I understand that this may turn out to be stupid or absurd to someone, but ask yourself what will happen next when something we love so much disappears and then what? Maybe it’s worth at least trying, all of a sudden it’s really not just useful to one or two, but maybe more people ..<br />
	And so closer to the point:<br />
	They still know that there are online spare parts catalogs and while there are machines that can be sorted out for spare parts there is demand, but what if I tell you that it would be cool to create a 3D spare parts catalog;<br />
	Those. Create drawings, diagrams and 3D models of spare parts and parts.<br />
	Yes, I understand that it’s difficult, but I think if we get together we can do it.<br />
	Who thinks what?

<p>
	Look at videos on youtube the timing chain sits straight across the top with no  'U' shape in the middle between the 2 camshafts. but mine seems to have some play. (Keep in mind when i opened the engine there was no upper chain timing guide, apparently i need it but im not sure. Do I need it? is it a must?)

<p>
	So I lost this plastic part on my intake manifold when removing it, and I just can't find it. It doesn't seem it's inbetween the engine or under the car and need to order another one. But cannot find it anywhere nor what it's called.
