Hello,

I have been scouring the forums for info on swapping an S15 dash into an R32 to no avail. My reasons for wanting to do this is because the R32 dash looks outdated and has bubbles, and my speedo cable is broken. Didn't really want to pay big bucks to replace something that is likely to break again so I want to go electronic speedo drive.

Yesterday I bit the bullet and purchased a complete S15 dash with all vents, trim, speedo cluster and aircon controller. I still need to source the center console and potentially some indicator and wiper stalks (I was thinking A31 for this given the similarity of chassis)

I got the 32 dash out in a jiffy and got the S15 dash in there, the 2 lower mounts line up with some encouragement and 1 of the upper windscreen mounts line up, however I think its sitting slightly to one side so I'll need to make up a small bracket to mount it properly.

The blower fan duct doesn't perfectly line up so some air gets through but some modification will be required.

I was able to remove the airbag unit from the dash also and still retain the cover which snaps back into place.

I have tracked down wiring diagrams for the cluster and possibly the aircon unit also but I've never seen the aircon unit swapped most people seem to retain the factory unit. The wiring for the cluster looks fairly straight forward but the speed and rpm will likely be a challenge...and it didn't come with any plugs on the cluster.(might see if I can get some tiny space connectors but not hopeful)

I'll post more pics as I go.

	Cheers

Hi guys,

I'm about to buy a Y34 Gloria because I've wanted one for a fair while now, but never had enough of an excuse to justify one to the Minister for War and Finance. However, the recent lunching of my Stagea engine means I have all the excuse I need to purchase another daily driver.

I seem to remember reading a thread somewhere here (I think it was SAU) about someone who was able to supply an owners manual in English for these cars. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on one, that would be great.

Cheers,

Hi everyone,

A Lot of people buy Cefiros as rolling shells, this is usually no problem, as a lot of people like to use better motors than the variants of RB20 that came stock in these vehicles. This is fine, except that usually a car with no motor also has no engine loom. In a Cefiro this means that the connection between the interior loom and the wiper motor is also lost. BAM! no wipers. I have created a little diagram which people can use to reconnect their wiper motors so the wipers work again.

Clauses:

- I have based this wiring diagram off an A31 Cefiro. Its likely that a C33 laurel has the same issue but I cannot confirm this, happy for it to be confirmed.

- Attempt this fix at your own risk. It works on my car.

Materials & Tools Required:

- Female spade terminals, 6 normal size ones, 6 little ones (to suit the pins in the plugs under the dash). Alternatively, Pinch the relative plugs from a wreck (any late 80s nissan) and just connect them up. Or cut the the wires under the dash and make your own plug there.

- ~1m of 6 core wiring, tape, heat shrink, basic electrical materials to make the loom.

- Basic soldering equipment or crimping tools depending which route you take.

- Basic tools to remove guard liner and kick panel (screwdriver).

Process:

- Remove the passenger side kick panel. Locate the white plugs hanging down from the dash above the where the ECU goes, these are the plugs you will be connecting to.

- Locate the wiper motor, passenger side corner of the firewall.

- The stock loom runs through the hole from the wiper motor to behind the strut into the wheel well, then into the cabin near the passenger footwell. You may have to remove the inner liner to gain access here.

- Simply make your new wiring loom by following the colours in my diagram to connect the wiper motor to the dash plugs. You may want to remove your engine loom if it runs in the stock location so that you can integrate the wiper loom into the same grommet going into the cabin. Install and test.

Diagram:

Good luck everyone, would appreciate any feedback from people following this guide.

Wiring R32 RB20DET into A31 Cefiro

	Hey guys,

I installed an R32 RB20DET into my Cefiro but I have a few connectors that I'm unsure of where the go. Can someone help me out?

First, these are the 3 plugs from the original RB20E Harness on my 1990 Cefiro. 2 of them don't have a home, and 1 plugged into the Skyline harness that came with the car...

These two plugs are from the Skyline harness that I'm unsure of where they plug into...

This connector is from the Skyline harness as well. I'm guessing it's from the diagnostic port?

Moving into the engine bay, I have these three blank connectors from where the Auto transmission connectors went. Do I need to do anything with these three connectors?

Something I hadn't noticed before until yesterday when I was taking these photos is the previous owner modded this connector. Can anyone mention what it was from and why they would do this when the car was Automatic before?

These two connectors are from the Skyline harness over near the windshield washer bottle. I'm guessing they were for the headlights but I'm not sure...

Onto the transmission, I have the two reverse lights and neutral switch that I don't know where to plug into. The reverse lights plug (I think that's it) also has the ends chopped off which I'll have to source a new connector or new sensor...

Finally, this is the sensor? on the power steering rack that I have no idea where it plugs into. In fact, the plug was cut off apparently too so I don't know what the connector even looks like...

There is one more connector I forgot to take a picture of when I did these from the Cefiro harness down by the windshield washer bottle that comes from the headlight harness that doesn't have a plug. The original plug was on the same line as the old MAF plug. I'll try and snap a photo later.

	Thanks guys!

	Hi Guys,

I understand there are many threads about aero kits and I am late to the party. Unfortunately, many links to kits have expired etc. I have 3 main questions.

	1) I have been looking for team magicians pink laurel front aero for ages and cant find it anywhere. (hopefully link to picture works) Any sugestions where I could find that exac one?

	2) Does jzx81 kits fit a C33? I have seen a hipposleek (i think thats the name) work on one before but just wodering do many others?

	3) Would anyone have any c33 aero kits that they are looking to sell and ship to Ireland? Preferably not URAS. (and before anyone asks, the market is basically none existent here so shopping local is not an option unfortunately)

	Thanks

	Hi all,

Are R32 ecu compatible with A31 wiring loom?
Seems that later series (S2/S3) compatible but early (S1) are not?
Anyone able to clarify? Alot of mixed answers.

Hey guys, I could really use some help with this one. Recently had a bucking/hesitation problem and replaced the MAF. The car runs better now than it did before and no longer stalls out but now it runs rough at all rpms and does not want to rev, as if its cutting in and out as I try to rev it. I’ve replaced the CAS, tidied up engine grounds, looked for vacuum leaks, and still can’t find the culprit. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot figure this out for the life of me and I’m not finding any help online either.

	Hello from uk

I have a few questions regarding doing a RB26 RWD conversion into my r34 4 door NA auto and i believe some of you will be able to assist

	1st off,

I know this conversion is more popular with you lot down under but I've been told that i should use my existing RB25DE loom and use a link GTT ECU and mod the loom to fit the engine , However i have spoken to few people who have done the conversion and they have all swapped to RB26 looms and ECU's its bit confusing as i know parts of the engine loom on the 34 run the ABS and aircon and the speedo/RPM runs different ? so trying to get a bit more info on what route i should go down

2nd , can some one confirm that the 4 door and 2 door props are the same ? looking at part numbers they are and i believe when doing my conversion using either a 33 or 34 GTST box i just need a front prop section from a 33 or 34 and not a custom one?

Any info you can give me will be gratefully appriecated

	cheers Dave

Hey I've put a deposit on a really clean 4 door GTT. I have a few reservations though which I noticed after inspecting it and leaving a deposit.

The front bonnet latch bracket is black (not grey) and also, I'm not sure if it's my eyes, but the radiator support panel looks like a different colour grey to the rest of engine bay. The car is really tidy but I'm slightly worried now that it's been crashed. The wheel alignment also had a slight pull to the left when driving.

Any panel experts care to weigh in?

Hey everyone, I recently started having a problem with my Laurel where after a random amount of time driving, the car will start bucking and hesistating badly at all RPMs. If I put the clutch in or go into neutral while this is happening the idle hunts up and down between 1-2k and then stalls. When it stalls the car will not crank at all, but will start back up if I bump start it. By the time I got it home it fired right up with the key again until it eventually stalled. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently stumped.

	Hey guys,

The alternator on my RB20e in my A31 took a crap on me. My buddy has a spare RB20DET one. Will it swap over or are we going to end up wasting a few hours to try it to see. Either way, I'll end up taking the old one out to rebuild it if necessary but I'd rather spend the few hours getting it down to a place to rebuild it rather than finding out the hard way the RB20DET one doesn't fit.

	Thanks!

	Hi all

I am going to replace my worn out, unbranded coilovers shortly with the goal of improving the comfort of my ride. What i want to know is; is it worth spending the extra money on buying the adjustable upper/lower control arms, traction and castor arms while i'm there?

I have to ignore toe arms at the moment because i am running a Hicas lock bar. Am i going to to improve my ride quality that much more by having these or is it going to be wasted on what is essential going to be a daily drive car that see's the occasional cruise session or skid pan?

As a continuation of my last post, I’ve narrowed down the problem to the starter signal wire. When testing at the connector I’m only getting 2.5 volts. A test at the fuse shows 12, so the ignition switch itself is good. Obviously there is a problem somewhere in the wire but as it joins a large loom I’m having trouble finding where it comes into the cabin. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the starting circuit or know where the signal wire can be traced back to?

So I’m having a really strange issue with my Laurel. I was having to wiggle the negative battery cable occasionally to get the car to start. I replaced the negative cable and the car fired right up. After shutting it off and putting the battery bracket in I went to start it again and the relay clicks but nothing from the starter at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have already sanded down the contact points for the cable but am not having any luck.

Ok long story short....

I own a R31 RB20DET, and getting a kit for it is nigh on impossible unless I fork out over $2500 for the R31 House kits, which, for a drift car, is a little silly.

Ive been looking at a Lot of R31 House's cars and they use a lot of other cars kits ie Ceff and Laurel, modded to suit the cars.

Im after the Side skirt dimensions for All 3 of the above mantioned models, as you can buy copy kits rather cheap.

I already have a R31 House copy front lip, and was considering C33 laurel URAS sides and rear, but wish to know dimensions before I do anything.

A31 URAS side skirts^^^

C33 Laurel URAS sides and rear bar^^^

To me it seems they cut the rear bar and fibreglass it onto a stock rear bar.... and the A31 URAS sides are simply cut to fit....

Heard a few rumours that R32 4 - Door sides fit, and if so, a set of Vertex sides would do the job quite nicley.

Ive tried emailing R31 house, using a translator, but I got a reply in Kanji and I cant translate it.

I know that some think kits and such are stupid, but Ive pretty much done everything else, bodykit and paint plus my cage(which goes in on the 23rd of june) were the last on my list.

To sum up, Im after Side skirt lengths on the Above mentioned 3 cars.... A31, C33 and R32 4 - Door. Need the actual length of the side of car, not the sideskirt.

Thank you all in advance.
