  2. Excuse me? - Theres one spot on the paint that needs to be resprayed, there are a few little wear and tear spots as it is an old car anyway. - As I said to you, spark plug, which has since been replaced. - Attessa cannot be removed, that is the 4WD, you are thinking HICAS, and yes it has been removed. Wires in the boot are the fuel pump relay. - Air Con was re-gassed this Thursday and is icy cold. - Seats need a steam clean, otherwise interior is clean. Seeing as I've only had one Chris inspect my car, you are the guy who showed up with 2 of your "mechanic" mates who had no idea what they were talking about and your girlfriends, oh and at night time too, fantastic to assess a cars paintwork. It's people like you that really do ruin the skyline scene. It was fantastic when you came and gave it a "test drive" and drove it harder than I'd ever driven it, in a car you had no idea and had no responsibility for, in a residential street at night. You are the typical tyre kicker who comes and "test drives" (thrashes), says he has to go inspect another, and I'll give you a call, yet never to be heard from again. So not only did you waste my fuel, thrash my car and never contact me again, you had the audacity to come and talk shit on my for sale thread. Before you inspect another car, you should learn a little more about them, rather than regurgitate what your so called "mechanic mate" has to say about it.

  5. No huge updates, been flat out with uni so haven't made any more progress on replacing the oil pump gasket, although I did get the necessary genuine parts from Nissan to do the job: End of semester coincided with a much needed trip to Sydney/World Time Attack, many race cars were seen and many beers were drunk. It was also great to be there to support a couple of local Tassie boys who entered the Tectaloy International Drift Challenge, Lloyd Smith and Ben Purtell. Whilst I was there I took advantage of the trade stalls and managed to haggle for a bit of a discount on a new Velo steering wheel from the Autosport Direct (http://www.autosport.com.au) stand. A few weeks ago I replaced the front shocks with 2nd hand items I got a off a mate as one was leaking, turns out one of the 'new' ones is leaking too, so we've decided to do it properly and put in some brand new damper/height adjustable coilovers. The idea was to try and get a bargain at WTAC but there were so many options we didn't feel comfortable making the decision on the spot. I spoke to MCA about a set of their Blue series coilovers but they are still in development for the R32 and won't be available until early next year sometime, so we've almost decided on a set of BC BR Type RS coilovers instead as I don't think we can wait. Looking forward to finishing exams and getting stuck into it!

  6. Well I'm replacing the mounting tape on my Drivers Front weathershield, that should get me to at least 9000kw. Can't comprehend what driving a 400+ kw car is like. Nice Result Luke.

  10. I also buy from USA military surplus fastener stores - mi spec, any pro will tell you fasteners aren't just fasteners It amazes me how many people use ARP studs without an understanding of why and what makes them better.

  11. That's fair enough... But that only shows that he is dismissing all the other problems in gain of trying to get new customers! He has lied to so many customers using his wife & his very young daughter as a tool to get out of it all, which personally is the weakest form possible! I have lost respect for this guy & I'm sure many others will agree with me!

  13. FKN LOL car is owned by an apprentice mechanic from the most renowned GTR workshop in Vic and someone that we all know well in Vic. If he says the car is in good condition... it is. end of story. He has too much to lose by ripping anyone off in the sale of a GTR.

  16. My car is there now and is almost finished. Job got a lot bigger than first agreed and naturally timeframes extended by a few weeks which was totally expected. The service I have received is sensational and the work on the car from both Brad and Dylan I could not be happier with. Will post some pics of the work shortly.

  20. This is something I just cannot get my head around. Before my current skyline, I had a GQ Patrol. It had a 4.2 liter turbo diesel, straight through 3" exhaust. It whistled like crazy from the exhaust and sounded really awesome. Why is it that only turbo diesels seem to emitt a turbine whistling sound where as petrol motors do not? (Our whistles are usually intake sound or the sound of a surge ported compressor cover eg gt3076r or t51r) Is it to do with the fact that diesel motors use considerably smaller turbochargers than their petrol equivalents of the same engine capacity? My patrol had a gt2860rs on the TD42, I would bet if you put the same turbo on the TB42 (the 4.2 petrol equivalent) with a straight through 3" exhaust there would be no whistle. Someone school me on this as its driving me nuts. The internet isnt much help, mostly I get results linking me to redneck american diesel forums and they are painful to read.
