  1. Thankfully GTST's share the same rail sections and the red ones were in pretty good shape comparatively. Rather than scrap the shell and waste good body sections we cut the rails out to use to repair the GTR. Everything has been taken back to bare metal with the replacement sections stitched in. Rust kill was extensively used and then primer sprayed on to combat rust for the time being. As the shell will be going on a rotiserrie in the near future for blasting, the whole underside will be back to bare metal, cleaned up more, treated and then coated in a deadener / liner.

  2. Is the guy on this video below the same guy as the OP? There's some frightening similarities... Does the Max pick up the front wheel and hold it??

  3. I just need to sort out the fuelling in the boot and find a decent mobile fabricator. Anyone know a decent mobile fabricator in Syd? Just need dump and inter cooler piping made up. Off the jack stands after a year and feeling how it's starting to come together.

  4. Video looks exactly like a stock J31 4sp, unless the video was is slow motion, 0-100 in around 7sec is typical for a stock J31 (no idea where you are getting the 8.5sec figure from, maybe the Asian J31 VQ23DE powered version?), engine sound is also typical. I have a stock J31, so I know what they sound like and how they accelerate. No more stories, As said, post pics of the engine bay and drag strip results or it is all still just a story.

  5. Quite happy with the new state of the rails, however they obviously arent absolutely perfect. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a 32 that does these days. I also managed to swap the front end out of the gtst (rack, xmember, etc) for a GTR front reo that is pretty much perfect condition. Got my eye on a few air compressors at the moment which i will eventually use for my home sand blast / powdercoating setup.

  7. You might well be the first person in Australia who will be required to have a breathalyser and blood testing unit attached to their computer before it can be switched on.

  8. think more important would be lap times cause that typically sorts the “good” turbos from the junk but measuring that is difficult

  10. ^^ same issue here , washer bottle nowhere to be found when I bought mine fmic must have taken all the room but i havent popped the front bumper off yet. Pics would be awesome , I bought a R33 washer to see if i could pop that in the top next to the battery but its wayy too big. I picked up a supercheap universal bottle which seems to fit but downside is theres only one motor in it some pics of fixes and solutions would be great... i hate driving with dirty windscreens.... on that note , i had a blonde moment where i couldnt take the muck on the windscreen any longer and i had a bottle of water next to me . i proceeded to try and pour some water on the windscreen (while driving) and the wind ended up blowing it all back into my face. i sat back thinking....wow that was dumb....
