  1. That's awesome but must be on LPG and being a wagon would add to it's glory. Just imagine the roofline extending to the top of that spoiler and then a massive wing above that.

  3. Another couple of months and a little bit more work done.. cant rush these things! I reckon were gonna hit the track in the next month or two for a shakedown I doubt the car will be painted and I really don't care im just keen to run it up and start sorting the bugs So the front clip is mounted its abit fiddly to put on and off but I figure that with time I'll get the hang of it and just need to be abit less gentle with it lol. I also finally have the wing mounted and done and made up some alloy end plates. Getting closer to being able to hit the track hopefully next break i might be able to start it up and run it up and get it ready for a dyno session!!

  4. anything over 250kw and driving aggressively will kill a sr20 gearbox. coming from someone who has had a 200000km sr20. 220-230kw is all that is needed for a very competent track car- gtx2867, 1300cc injectors, taarks fuel rail, aeroflow fuel reg, Nistune with r35 MAF or Link plugin ecu, Walbro 460 (with correct wire size & relay). Standard manifolds, 3 inch exhaust and a generic intercooler, quality radiator, NPC RB conversion clutch. Spend the rest on whitelines bushes, mca coilovers, quality brake pads & rotors, decent tyres & enjoy reliable fun track days. This is my latest sr20 setup go towards the bottom for dyno chart on a conservative 16-17psi on old motor

  5. So much this. So much this. I paid $4000 for the donor car I used, including importing it from Japan. That included everything, engine, gearbox, driveshaft, diff, brakes, some of the interior including matching dash cluster with the correct*** kms, etc. In the end it was a very simple job just to swap everything over out of the one car and into the other. All I needed was a radiator and a front mount due to the front impact on the donor car. I sold my DE Neo engine for 250 bucks, and the DE gearbox including clutch for $200. The rest went in the bin. Try and get that value out of any donor car these days, you'd likely pay atleast 10k for it. Collect the parts individually and it will probably take you 2 years and still cost 10k. Jesus Christ, these days people are paying $1500 just for a DE Neo motor, and the same again for a DE gearbox. Crazy sauce. These cars just aren't good value anymore, they are expensive to own and modify now for sure. If you're going to do it, it shouldn't be because of prices.

  6. Yeah, nah. The weight is nothing compared to the forces applied through the bolts.

  8. Re: 4k NZD GT (if actually real, I suspect there's hidden costs here that will come out to very similar total costs of GT's in your area...) Thing is, if you had all the parts, all the know how, and all the experience to do an engine swap, you'd definitely pay the 20-25k NZD and get the GTT. Parts availability and Prices are shit now. What's your time worth, too? Be better to buy that cheap GT then put something else in it entirely. Like a LS. Then you could also just buy my LS converted car, and save money. The sensible options have been laid out for ages, from years of people exploring these avenues with experience Listen to them lol Or don't, and make the same mistakes they/I did.

  9. Some good news here! I'll get new garage! And new home. We are moving at april. I'll add some picks when I get keys to new home. Now I have to drive 40km to garage and after we had moved it is only 10meters from the hause.
