  1. ok so we put the engine in finally with no trouble now would anyone be able to tell me what sort of parts i can by for the engine without adding extras to i by that i mean i want to bring the engine out naturally aspirated before addding some power to her so if anyone could give some advice on this it would be very helpful the reason i decided to put this in the N/A forum is becuase i want to try and bring the engine out too it's maxs rpms before i add turbos and whateva eles so would anyone know of good piston i was thinking about it for alwhile and can be done
  2. i have just bought an rb25det for a reasonable price an all up it is easy to do it yourself job cheaper aswell but depends on your decision so anways provided you know what ur doing i sold my rb20 for $3.500 an theres nothing wrong with it. If u can always check up on prices and is always helpful to ask i have an r32 gtst and you will porberly need an r33 if u want to add power mods (stupid answer) to it after the engine swap turbogearbox for ya ride but all should be sweat sorry to breif hope this was helpful life is what u make of it not how it treats you

  4. paulr33 i was thinkin of hitting a power output of roughly aout 270 280 rwkw but at the same time i want to build it striclty for acceleration i dont know who would share the same thoughts as me but i would like to do this because this is my first real engine swap and i am keen to learn from my mistake and also keep a diffrent oppinion on this i dont know why if i have not been clare enough fare enough this is a NA forum but my last car was vn v6 with just extractors and vt injectors with a hsv chip and that was it but i want something serious but back to main poibnt is i would like to know and here some idea that would save me some hassel with my project by the way thank you for advicce is has been very helpful
  5. im glad u think other peoples problem an ideas are funny drifto... i would hate to see u idea of a project yeh ryno thats right i spoke to a guy at g-tech performance and he said that same thing only that once i hit about 260 270 kw i will have to look at a stronger gear box but im still concerned about the compression and power to weight ratio on the car body not that it wiould have a major effect on the car
  6. i dont know alot about NA engines considering this is NA forum and i have read some of the post in other sections of the forum. I thought i would ask some more experienced people because i do not want to put a gtr engine in the car as i am not too keen on the gtr's an they are way to commen to see..... the reson i am asking you guys this is because i thought the rb25det was the na before i bought it then i got some more info on it before purchasing it and it's a turbo engine and consider it i was seeing this as a first time project i like the na look better i thought i could ask some real people who know something about these engine and what i can do at Miniumal expense....... i was looking at rb26det as i already new i would need a r33 turbo gearbox for obveous resons an i need something more then a rb20det i dont like the engine i have in it now i know theres nothing wrong it because i just want to do and engine change over because the rb20det is going to be a put in a 180 hopefully so that i know back to what i was saying i know alittle of lilttle ok it's not like i have spent yrs in yrs in imports shops and perfomance place to understand what u guys are seeing this as..... i would just like some advice Hope this helps, I was trying not to be too critical.

  8. DISz-it I would say mid 13's if ur driveline is stock which most are sometime but my oppinion mid 13's good luck with ya run all the best if im wrong i buy ya a six pack cheer's mate
  9. sorry scarfier i type to fast sometime and miss spell words, when i thought about the idea i was contemplating putting a 4wd engine in it but it involves to much piss farting around so anyways if i replace the standard turbo i got on it would i be able to replace it with a bigger turb and would it give me roughly around 7 to 9 psi of boostkeeping in mind that it wil limit me as someone has already given me advice on it what is your oppinion on this kee[ing in mind this would involve me replaceing the standard features on my car already the plan........ apexi power fc, hand controller and boost controller kit z32 air flow meter hks 2530 or ax53b70 turbocharger or t04e/garrett gt30 r33 or r34 gtr front mount intercooler

  11. i have had problems with mine but my was more ecu probs then any because the ecu was telling the engine that there was no fuel the ecu was reading it as an error and even cold cranking amps did nothing mine was reading 8.5 v so i fixs thatproblem by taking it to an auto electrician an they fixed it within 4 hrs the computer had to be reset though
  12. ryno is the compression ratio very diffirent to the rb20det or is it roughly the same because i have asked around but the idiots up here no nothing about imports there all ford fans life is what you make of it not how it treats you......
  13. i want to add the following if i buy the rb25de.... apexi power fc, hand controller and boost controller kit z32 air flow meter hks 2530 or ax53b70 turbocharger or t04e/garrett gt30 r33 or r34 gtr front mount intercooler full 3.5" exhaust system, including hiflow cat, dump pipe and front pipe 255 rear tyres or 265 tyres im not sure weather i should or not till i know what would be a better engine for my skyline
  14. how the *** can u compare both cars when they basically the same car diffirent weight and shape nissan has be re-knowed for building good engines but you cant compare in my oppinion i work at parry nissan performance and when it comes to it nothing will every beat pure v8 cubic inches... sorry people
  15. hello would anyone be able to help me with finding a resonibly good engine to drop into my r32 gtst i was think along the lines of a rb25de or an rb26 but i have change the mounts over and theres alot more detial that goes with a 4wd engine i would rather get a front engine rear wheel because i do belive its better on economy and i really need some advice cos i want to beable to build to a peak of acceleration and handling would anyone know of good pats for an rb25de because the rb20 i have now is shit any advice would be great life is what you make of it not how it treats you
  16. look man you want gtst or whateva you decide buy the ***en thing if not then dont.....! it's that simple you want to feel good with what you by then why worrie about being hasseled you going have a sook when someone up and says hey what a nice car or i had one of those and it ran like shit no of couse not but just stock from the lot or if you want some mods then by a moded up one from the lot or the trading post or where eva but who care i dont *** the jacks if they have a problem with me then they can lock me and the car up together they cant talk to run around with in hsv with chips and extractors on them so they can say shit

  18. hey guys sorry for easy dropping but i reead on the 1st page that you had problem wiht a suspected bearring use to own a vr and traded it in for gtst and when i 1st bought it i had problems with the crank big end bearings i just jack to gear boxs up to take the weight of the engine and lifted the engine out...... you can always use a jack stand around the bell housing to hold it there but it can some cause warping on the housing just thought youmight need some advice sorry if i was rude
  19. r33nt would it be stupid to ask why go for something so out there you would dare to be diffrent i think it's a crazy idea and is it street legal............? would it be possible to defect the car for having the engine in it........? it's a crazy arse idea an con grats on the idea by the way mate......
  20. how much did it coast you to buy the motor what did you do to get the vh45det in the engine bay did you have to change to sway bars, an did you have to change the flywheel.....

  22. i just bought a used r32 gtst single turbo i have a 3230 standard on it and i want to get a good turbo with good bost but i want to imporve the acceleration but not too much that it rips the steering wheel from my hands would anyone know of any?????? life is short so are treds
  23. N/A_r33 i was wondering if you would know of anyone where i could get fitted into my car a infinity v8 engine do u because a freind of mine tol me that i can get a v8 and i cant get an inline v8 because it would be too long would u know anything about this
  24. well i dont like the silvias it dont beat N/A turbos are'nt good anymore nothing more then but milk and orange juice you would get more power to weight ratio in the 180 and s13 Ks silvias but im fan of the old skool v'8 aswell
