  1. Hi, I followed the recommended run in schedule for the first 2000k's as closely as i could. But i am sure there would have been the odd spurt over the 3500 / 4500 RPM during this period (only after the car was properly warmed up) .. Had no problems at the 2000K POS at my dealer.. I did chuckle about this guidance after seeing the Performance Testing that Nissan does on every GT-R off the production line by the Nissan Test Drivers. (Quick enough to get the Brake Disks glowing red).. Have a look at the 2012 Megafactory Supercar Documentary on the GT-R.. Congrats on your new Car, is this your first GT-R ? Mike...
  2. Agree Spot on Brian.. How puerile, explains why the SAU Site isn't frequented much by R35 Owners.
  3. Mark, great car, you are right it looks spotless.. Good Buying.. You are right , there are bugger-all differences between the MY12, MY13 and MY14, certainly not 60k worth.. Welcome to the 35 !!!
  4. Mark, Did you put the deposit on the MY14 or the MY12 mentioned in carsales above.. ?
  5. Mark, I agree with Nick, would try to get MY14.. I believe the first shipments Nissan are delivering to their dealers in the next few weeks.. In speaking with my dealer in QLD, their initial shipment of 8 x MY14's, 5 are pre-sold, so I assume they are not rushing to discount the new model at the moment.. Don't know what dealer in sydney you were given the cold shoulder from , but quite a few of my R35 mates in Sydney swear by Col Crawfords.. Good Luck..
  6. No it won't be available in Australia. (If it was, a few of us have guessed it would have been $300K+ )
  7. Oliver, think its great that you are trying to ensure damage transparency of your R35 to potential future owners of your car . What i don't understand is why you didn't get it repaired before trading it at the dealer, I would assume the dealer Trade-in assessment would have tanked as a result of the crook gearbox. The Repair estimates of $47 K from Nissan to repair is a joke, You can buy a Brand New Genuine Nissan Gearbox for $14K USD (Excl GST) .
  8. Tony and the SAU team.. Great job for a terrific day .. thank you.. Hope we did well for the kids.. A few pics i took ..for the day..
  9. Is there a reason we want to be more selective of who can attend ? I agree with Wookster, Surely as a Charity run, we want as many people to participate as we can..
  10. Serge, its a obvious one, but dont forget the impact of re-calculation of LCT and the other Taxes after you negotiated a better deal from the dealer. A reduction to Drive Away price for you will be from Dealer Margin / Manufacturer rebate and reduction of those taxes.. (LCT is calculated on 33% over $60K )
  11. Serge, thats probably a reasonable place start. I found the WA Dealers aggressive with their pricing.. Should try them first...
  12. I will be there, I am sure we can get some of the other QLD R35's a well..
  13. Got this from another forum i belong to.. "Anyone planning a quiet drive up Mt Glorious or Mt Mee this coming long weekend. I have been told on VERY good authority that there will be a large number of People in Blue Uniforms and DOT check stations established in these areas"
