  1. I had a diagnostic tool hooked to it but they couldnt get a fault code thats why i put this post on here
  2. Thanks Luke..I cleared the light after a thousand goes of pressing the door light button but the bugga came back on today.I found out the Mines ECU runs the same as factory the only difference is you can hook it to a laptop and tune the car that way so im told..I do have to find someone with a diagnostic machine that will read it or someone with a program in their laptop to suit.Ive been told Tune House in Marrickville but im sure i'll find someone local.Gonna have a look at my clockspring first.Hopefully thats all it is Cheers
  3. Hi all,, Yes i know another topic of the air bag light but this is a little different.. I recently picked up my R34 GTT and yes the air bag light was flashing when i bought it..Me thinking simple fix..At worst i thought couple of hundred. Anyway, after the car sending my local mechanic and his diagnostic machine crazy, they delved deeper to find it has an after market computer.A Mines computer to be exact.Be it a good thing or bad thing i still need to get that damn air bag light off.Im from Wollongong if anyone knows anyone down this way that would be able to do it please let me know..I can travel to Sydney of course
  4. Im in nsw dont know the equivalent here
  5. I just went online to get a quote from RACV and said to call them cause they wont do quotes online to other states other than Victoria...Looks like i'll be on the hooter tomorrow.Does anyone know whether they do insure outside of Vic??
  6. Interesting read guys..Thanks for the info..I'll be looking into RACV cause that sounds pretty cheap Mat..After all we're all after the best and cheapest quote. And Ricky i hardly ever read the PDS but now i think i better
  7. Im 44 and Just Cars wanted 1300 or so.Lumleys quoted 900..Pretty happy with that hey..Shannons asked me questions about why am i a car enthusiest and all sorts of crazy stuff. They didnt think i fit their criteria..I thought they were jokin.
  8. Thank you Terry for the welcome...Lumleys have been the best so far. Some of these everyday companies eg NRMA are ridiculous with their prices..They scared or somethin lol
  9. Hey all Getting closer to picking up my R34 gtt 4 door. Was just wondering which insurance company do you use or recommend??
  10. Im 44.All my license points intact..No claims in the last 10yrs.Live in Albion Park Rail nsw 2527.Garaged.So i should be able to get a decent quote
  11. Hi Guys and Gals. Been reading a lot of very useful posts on here lately so i thought why not join..I used to own R31 GT Passage.Wow what a car,But sold it a number of years ago to settle for a WRX..Great car but at speed didnt stick to the road like my beloved GT.Seemed to float. Anyways im back in the market and have my eye on an R34 GTT 4 door.I think its great but am doing a lot of research on it..eg Reliability,History and Maintenance. But the one thing im trying to get is the cheapest Insurance..Lumley have offered me $900.God old NRMA $1440 lol.I have a broker looking around for me at this very moment..My question is "where is the best place to insure my future beast"??
