  1. Spotted White r33 gtr (agz87d) parked next to me at fox studios on friday night wit sau stickers. I was walking towards my car and i thought whoaaaa someone swapped my 32 t for a 33gtr sick!!!!! But alas my old girl was sulking in the corner next to its big Brother!!!!
  2. Yeah its heaps of fun, i have to drive the s$%t out of the old girl to be in contention for a place. They aren't to keen on rubbing panels but it does happen. I had one experience with a porsche at eastern creek which was a bit more than a rub, i was sitting on his bumper ( yes a porche thats worth about 200k being tailgated by an alpine that just sold for 7k) at turn 3 when he decided that he liked the grass better so speared off straight ahead but also made the decision to keep his foot planted harder on the accelerator then come back on and t bone me at somewhere near 100 clicks.... very exciting. i did 3 full spins then ended up facing the right way, he went on to colect the wall over the top of the tunnel on the opposite side of the track that he origionaly left from, i think he was lucky to hit me cause i slowed him down lots and he still hit so i think it would have been hospital time for him otherwise!!!! Apart from that i have so far managed to keep out of trouble..... but i guess with racing its only a matter of time!!!!! It was a real shame to see the old girl get a new home this week but after testing one of the track mx5's at wakefield a few weeks ago im sure it will make a worthy replacement!!!!!
  3. Oh yeah forgot to say..... been driving a 1959 sunbeam alpine, Its old, underpowered, the suspension is kinda buggered and its had more hits than mike tyson but it still gets round oran short in close to the same times as i can do in my line.... mind you my line is also nudging 20 and still has the origional suspension so thats probably no mean feat!!!! Its about 2 seconds a lap slower round wakefield, though you feel every bump so it feels like your going faster than you are!!! Lots of fun!
  4. Cheers kel, I havent been on sau much lately either. I have been competing in group sa in the historic series, although the car i have been running has just been sold by its owner to make way for an mx5 race car so i might hopefully get a few steers in that or in their mgb race car.... will just have to wait and see. Hopefully i can clear up the end of october but i think im going to struggle as i have a wedding and my gf is heading over seas so im sure ill be in big trouble if im not at the airport saying goodbye!!!! Will have to get off my ass soon and do my flagging soon so maybe next time!!!!
  5. Point taken, must remember not to type while also doing 5 other things at once while at work, must also remember never to put my surfboard in my girlfriend again!!!!!!
  6. Hey mate ill be upgrading to nc. you doing any events before the end of the year????
  7. An audi rs4 wagon is my dream car performance and practicality so i can understand completely!!!!! My damn r32 really needs a ski port or something.... every time i put my surfboard in my girlfriend gets religated to the back seat which she hates!!!!!! never had the pleasure of driving a performance audi but if its anything like my mates m3 im sure it goes like s$%t off a shovel!!!!
  8. Spewing im pretty sure im already busy the last 2 weekends in october!!!! Ill get back to you guys if im available. Thanks kel
  9. Hey guys, I have recently completed my 6th signature in my log book so now i have to spend a day flagging at a meet so that i can get off my p's, Is anyone entering in any events before christmas???? Id love to do it at a cams event where i actually enjoy the cars going round the track. Duncan, sydney kid you guys doing anything before the end of the year ????? Cheers
  10. Nice new ride mate!!!!! are you getting older and wiser or something???? all this talk of comfort!!!!!
  11. Damn my computers slow, it didnt load the other replys before id clicked reply......... do what n1gtr already said!!!! :laughing-smiley-014:
  12. Hey mate, If you have infact renewed your licence.... not really sure from your post, you can get cams to fax through an authority form which you take with your old licence and show the officials and that will be fine to get you on the track!!!!
  13. Spotted a gun metal grey gtr in the garage next to me at wakefield on sunday!!!! Sorry mate forgot your plates and name!!! Did you get the suss-spension issues sorted????? Also spotted a silver r33 gtst turning right onto forest way with plates omething like ar - 13 -at that was about 2mm of the ground!!!! Loads of suspension travel on that one!!!!! But ive been told bump stops are the way to go now for new susspension!!!!!
  14. Hey guys, Just got into a set of the falken 452's These are the replacement tyre of the 451's and according to the magical spidey tyre graph that the promotional material comes with they are better in every way to the 451's. Ok enough bulls$%t Dry = 9 Feel a slight vagueness Might be tread block squirm rather than sidewall but they stick like s$%t to a blanket! The feeling isnt bad either just not quite as good as i've had in the past with my last set of yokohamas Wet = 9.5 Felt great in the wet but i am yet to drive them in the real standing water kind of wet so i may revise this one. ( Been through some big standing water now with no aqua planning although they do flick up alot for people behind, oh well not my problem!!!) Value = 10 At $175 a corner fitted and balanced from tempe for 17/225/45 I dont think they can be beat even if they dont Wear the greatest i can fit to pairs for that price compared to the other tyres i was looking at! I haven't had these tyres on the track yet but from the way they perform on the road im rubbing my hands together to get to the track! Also guys make sure you ring heaps of places for prices after you have settelled on the tyre you want because you can get some massive differences in price. The yokohammas i was looking at went from about $300 to $375 depending on what store you spoke to!!! Went to wakefield on sunday and the track was wet to very wet, then oily after someone didnt have their remote oil filter on properly and decided it was a good idea to drive back to the pits from turn 4!!!! The tires worked exceptionally well and had plenty of feel on the track. As the track was covered in oil i decided it would be a good idea to have a crack at drifting and after about 30 laps throughout the day i could find bugger all wear and 30% of that would have been travelling sideways!!!! Unless your car has alot more power than mine for the price these tyres will not dissapoint!
