  1. WOW really.....ok fine a transfer case ,ATESSA just abbreviating
  2. i was thinking of just using the Tomei manifolds not the dumps I have to make custom dumps to fit the car im building but you say that Tomei crack ? thats no good thanks for the info ill continue to do my research
  3. yes ill be running rear diff cooler and ill have to look into a tranny cooler never heard of one. you think it would be a good idea to run a front diff cooler as well?
  4. im building a custom car with a r33 GTR powertrain and a full built rb26 check out my other 2 threads to see what im building and spec. My question is how should i go about building a very strong drive line. Im planning on a exedy twin clutch, all axles and drive shaft are custom built buy driveshaft.com and can handle more power then ill ever have. the rear diff is a stock r32 gtr lsd ill have the LSD rebuilt. the front diff is stock and ill be puting in a LSD. Now the center diff how strong is it ? is there a up grade kit or something that im not aware of? and the transmission i heard that 3rd gear is weak so is there a trany upgrade kit to fix this or do i just have to bit the bullet and buy a race trans like OS Giken? I do have a great transmission builder so a up grade would be no problem. Ill just be smooth on the powertrain till its fully upgraded but i want to be able to run it hard on the track with slick mainly race track but some drag racing. any help or advice with this would be great and if there are some treads i have not read please sent me links Thanks
  5. So any one have any advice on turbos bigger then -5s what would still have good response for this motor? and would i really get more power and response going to a single turbo ?
  6. will be a track car ill have a extra set of rims with track slicks for race days but will have to set it up for the 1/4 at least once to see how fast it is
  7. yeah i have a NOS kit on a shelf in my shop but im over NOS iv had it in like 3 or 4 cars i just want the power all the time no bottles to fill ill be running methanol injection so ill all ready have 2 fuels to fill
  8. i don't mind going with a little bigger turbo but I'm trying to keep it as responsive as possible i might just have to see how much power i get out of the -5s and if I don't get 650 HP or so ill try the GT2871r-10 just afraid i would have to much lag. O and the cost yeah its a lot Ill pry be right at $28,000.00 US all said and done
  9. The design i would have to say is going to be kinda a modern concept car im taking little bits of styling cues from concept cars Audi, Citrin,Jaguar and throwing my own style in. Here is a rough sketch of what the front will look like. Like i said before im not very good at 3D renderings Ill post the rear and side views once im happy with the design
  10. maybe im a little optimistic but with the above mods an over sized valves stage 2 cams, map intake conversion i would think im getting close
  11. how do you mean danger to the manifold ? i haven't heard of a good rb26 head porter that i would trust that lives with in 500 mile of me plus in my experience head porting is a art and very few are really good at it plus is it really worth 2 or 3 thousand dollers to get a little more power out of your motor when you can just turn the boost up a few pounds
  12. ill be running methanol injection an duel 3" exhaust with a little higher compression then most and if im close to 650hp i wont be to disappointed the still crazy fast
