  1. Rob, Squirt in 60-80 mls of Pro-ma. Must be someone in CBR sells it. magic stuff (unless it's a LSD then not a good idea)
  2. Yellow 34 southbound on the Monaro hwy yesterday around 1130, just north of Bredbo. Flashed lights and waved but (reflection on windscreen) hard to see if any response. And then...just the other side of Bredbo at 1620 the same car heading back north as I was heading home from CBR. Definitely no response to waves, etc. this time. Very nice car...looks like the one in Shell,s ID.
  3. OK...so this might not strictly match what we're doing here, but if anyone can tell me WTF this is about...... http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-533
  4. DANOOH, If you took my post as personal I do apologise. After a lot of years of interaction, my tolerance to certain Government departments is virtually non existent. Unless you're the decision maker in Australian Customs, we're cool.
  5. The role I perform to earn a crust involves importing over a thousand shipments a year, by air and sea, from 18 origins around the world. After nearly thirty years dealing with Australian Customs, a few things have become quite clear: Most Customs people are barely literate and wombats generally have higher IQ's. Most Customs people fancy themselves as "important people". Have wet dreams thinking about having black shirts with SS on their collars. ...And almost ALL Customs people will sprout ANY bullsh!t to try and make themselves appear intelligent / superior / competent / informed / etc. The return in revenue compared to the cost of screening necessitates a threshold. Besides, if a consignment matches predetermined criteria - say, from a high risk country to a private address - it is already checked regardless of the value declared anyway, even it comes with the postman! I'm not saying the policy won't change, but I have heard so much crap from so many Customs people for so long, I worry about things when they happen. Certainly not when it is "planned" to happen. (Good on you GTRKat....that's how I feel about Woolies too!!)
  6. Late, I know... (but hard to post with no internet !) Silver 34 heading south into Cooma 1230 on 28/12 and... white 34 (looking very lost) on Sharp Street in the centre of Cooma around lunch time, 29/12? No responses. Have to introduce you to some checkout chicks at Cooma Woolies Rob....you'll do more than a few laps (trying to get away!!!)
  7. That's OK Stinky....thanks for the reply. VERY Nice pics you've posted BTW.
  8. Sent a pic via email to you Stinky....did you receive it? Haven't heard and thought I'd check that it actually went.
  9. Yeah that is true! At home (only ten K's away) the wind is now getting quite strong 30 - 40Kmh NW with some gusts that would be twice that. Nice and warm though.
  10. I rang around and found Shannons the cheapest too, and having first right over a write off is very important. My V36 is only $1100 a year for $40k cover but it is bundled with other vehicles. The more the merrier....
  11. Nipple Warmers? It hasn't got below zero for days.....
