  1. Im hunting for abit of advice, have my r34 gtt and it needs some new shoes. Im looking at a set of jdm concepts and works joint venture the gt5's. The sizes are 18x9 +30 for the front and 18x10 +38 for the rears. Ideally 245's on the front and 265's on the rear. Ive got what looks like stock height if anything maybe slightly lowered. Based on experiences what problems could i encounter and any ways of getting around them?
  2. Merry Christmas all, Santa has brought me a fuel leak as a present which I am extremely happy about. It started yesterday when i filled my r34 gtt right up with e85, went in to pay and came out to find the fuel I had just put in was coming out onto the ground. After 5 minutes of solid leaking it stopped, so i started the car and it started leaking again not as bad though. Finally when racq came i started it and it wasn't leaking and then drove it the 5min drive home. Old mate from racq said it was my fuel pump seal but he also told me that my inspection cap for it was under my rear seat so I don't really trust him. My question is does anyone know if this is actually the case or whether there is a point half way down the tank with a seal that could have gone? Cheers
  3. ive got an aircompressor at home, 45L or something like that but i dont think that it would cut the mustard haha. i did contemplate doing it myself only things are that i dont have anywhere at home enclosed enough to do a good job without the car being coated in dirt. im the same with the boys toys thing too, alot of the gear that gets done to the car mainly the cosmetic stuff i do all myself. with me working away and only being back at a week at a time it would be ideal for me to drop it off to a shop and leave it with them for the 4 weeks that i am away giving them plenty of time to sort it out and then pick it up when i get back.
  4. i was thinking of doing that with the rims later down the track but not the entire car no haha righto, cool, i havent heard of them but thanks for the warning mate! theres a few small dents on the steel and the body kit is abit scratched abit here and there so im thinking a full going over and touching up of the whole car
  5. G'day guys, i have finally spent enough money on the engine (for the moment) and am starting to look more into the cosmetic side of things. Living in brisbane and working on an island off gladstone for 28 days at a time leaves me with alot of time to do research and hunt for places but it is hard to pick a good one. Does anyone have a place that they would recommend in brisbane or close to there that does resprays and would be able to fix the scratches on the body kit? Cheers Mitch
  6. As normal the masses are right and the main problem was the first pipe from the turbo out to the intercooler had let go. Cheers for all of the input guys, it was very much appreciated! :-)
  7. Thanks for all your suggestions guys. After getting up this morning I have gone back under the hood and haven't seen anything unusual. Checked connections seeing if anything is loose or leaking but to no avail as of yet. If I can fix this problem is it going to need a retune after the severe boost drop?
  8. I drive a R34 GT-T and have done abit of modification. Upraged fuel pump, bosch 1000cc injectors, link G4 plug and play ecu, greddy intercooler, kiwagana 76mm turbo, spitfire coils and a GFB boost controller, it was tuned at 18psi or so giving it 266rwkw. Tonight i was giving it a few test runs and there was a loud bang and then the boost has gone right back to about 7-8psi. I looked under the hood and noticed a small tubes clamp has blown off and the tube had came off aswell. i have circled where the tube was in the photo below (it was lowest tube on the top section) and air appears to be pissing out from where the tube was attatched. with it being dark i havent been able to look fully into it all. the car still runs and the only problem (so far) is the boost problem. Any ideas on what blew off the car and any ideas on how to fix my problem?
