  1. I am part of the Aus300zx mob and it sounds good to me as I live in the mountains and would cruise down to and back Para for this. Especially considering I have 2 cars and the rego is due on both atm, arghh. Would be nice to see some other examples of Nissans fine work on the road to, and we can show all you liners we dont all wear cardigans in Zeds, LOL MB
  2. I'll go with Lysergic on this one! Alot of what you guys hear about the 300ZX is BULL$%T urban myth. Any import (Zed or otherwise) that hasnt been taken care of, rolled off the boat and driven will give troubles and overheat. Yes I am biased as I own one, but its been the best car I have ever owned. I race the thing (club, hillclimb, supersprints etc) and drive it hard regularly and it gives few drama's (only minor ones you expect from a hard driven car). They can be awkward to work on but most of the normal maintenance shit is as easy as a Skyline. Turbo changes are a bitch but hey thats what you pay for an awesome handling and low slung package. They can be made to handle extremely well with little money and are a dream to drive. Dream garage one day will be Z32 and R32, what great packages. MattB
  3. Have a mate (Dan - Marjinal) who is actually on this forum who needs a Z32 one ASAP (he is currently off to Adelaide to drift) with mine off my Zed so we need another asap. PM your contact details etc and I will grab one of these (provided you have one left) from you on Monday (I am unfortunately off with the bloody Army for the W/E). MattB
  4. Do you still have these and what price are you willing to take. I am in Sydney and wheel shopping ATM for some track wheels, not so worried about the tyres if that suits you or interested in both. PM me mate. MattB

Nice work Brett you still in Katoomba. Have to catch up for a chat at some stage as in Katoomba myself too, WATCH FOR THE BLUE 300! MATTB
  6. I agree semis on both. Last UAS track day JT and I were there in our near stock Zeds and not a GTR to be seen on the time. I love both cars but got to pay it to the Zed sometimes, as they are very similar in steering g/box, suspension etc etc. By the way A Zed is still the only car to even clean the Mt Black Tassie Targa stages, including Lambos, Porsches, etc etc and that wasnt not big dollar race car just a mild street tune Steve Millen Spec with semi's. After all the jab I got given from the GTR boys on the NDSOC Targa Tour about how I was going to get thrashed, their lap times were well Hmmm shoddy, and I was running crappy $150 Nankangs on a Mild tune street Zed, would love to come play with you guys one day when not bloody working. PS Dan cant wait to see your beast! MB
  7. Ha, yeah, was driving the Zed around in it, back had to go so slow as you couldnt tell/see your arse from your head in the blizzard. R32 Zilla where in the Mts are you. MattB
  8. Bells Line of Road - watch the speedo tho as lots of Police, but still fun at the speed limit and awesome views. Mitchells Pass in the Blue MTs, Mt York - again good at the speed limit, but watch for big arse trucks who like to wander over all the lanes. Cliff Drive from Leura, Katoomba, and then back to the highway is a beautiful drive with some awesome views. Putty Roads rocks Springwood/Hawkesbury Road love it too Dan! And one I did the other days was the back way from Penrith/Mulgoa through Wallacia, the Oaks, Hill Top and back onto the Hume or comeback through Picton. MB
  9. Funny thing tdawg is that I am one of the youngest that was on these cruises and I am 31. If it was a bunch off P plate dudes doing street drags in town somewhere then yeah I might understand!
  10. Howdy Folks, just a little note of caution for all those out there. Something that probably isnt news but worth thinking about and that I and others believe has been going on for a while. I am member of another forum and we regularly organise cruises as social events and to attend motorsport days, as most of the forum guy/gals are genuine enthusiasts (Most are 35 years and plus). Last week we had a cruise down in the Southern highlands and guess who showed up. MR PLOD with his own envoy! After chatting to the Officers who were very polite and chilled I must say, we were informed that they had been ordered by "Higher up at HQ" in the traffic division to monitor our cruises through the forum's, with the 300, Silvia and Skylines forum getting particular mentions. And this sort of fits with events that have been happening on our recent cruises, were our blue friends have been appearing in the middle of NO WHERE, on roads where no cars had been seen traveling either way for 50 minutes(apart from us), and appearing at the exact time as we happened to roll through. Coincidence I think not, and this has not happened just once. I am all for the Police and them doing they're job, but I didn't think myself and my friends belonged to Al Quaeda (or the likes) and warranted such invasive attention. Most of us are old (speed only occasionally or at the race track) and spend a mint keeping our cars in mint condition. Yes these are public forums, but cant our tax money be better spent looking for serious crimes. This F&(^&^&N RIDICULOUS and I feel I know have to watch what ever I say or type. In England the cops chase terrorists while hear they scurry around playing CIA games for a couple of cars with mods. Get a F(*&*(&N LIFE Law Enforcement guys, PLEASE go chase some terrorists or those mother ****ers who poison our kids with smack and like. Matt :sadam:
  11. Rubbish JCM, there are good one out there, thats like saying there are no good GTST's out there as they have all been thrashed. And believe me some people have actually said this when I was looking. Yeah they are a little squeezy to work on and the first ever prob I had was with the radiator but that was cause the dum arse who owned it before me used just water and no coolant, DERRRR. Yes you have to maintain and treat them well but so does a Skyline if you want it to last. Skylines aint that light either in reality but neither are as heavy as a V8 flabadore. I can tell you they 300s look great go hard handle awesome and have some style. The gearboxs I hear from reliable sources are as strong as hell.
  12. Going this weekend at $4000 but be quick as a dealer has offered me a Trade in at $5000. The money would be nicer though and handier.
