  1. For strut braces on import 31s, you can fit ones from local models because the strut towers are the same distance apart. However I can't remember if it's RB30 ones don't clear RB20s, or vice versa, anyway do a search on the R31 Skyline Club site, I'm sure you'll find what your looking for. If the RB30 ones do fit, you can pick up a Whiteline one, locally made and good quality.
  2. Thanks for the responses, I'll fill it up with 4ltrs EDIT and top up with more if the dipstick says its low END EDIT 2morrow and then see how I go.
  3. OK, I'm beginning to think this must be impossible, and I'm gonna feel like an idiot when someone explains it, but I still have the 3 and a half full 2ltr milk bottle with my old engine oil in em, sitting in the garage. I unscrewed the sump plug on my R32 RB20 (its in an Aus R31 if that matters), drained the oil into a bucket, then poured it into 2ltr milk bottles, filling 3 of them and half filling one. As I've been doing some searching, it seems like 4-4.5 ltrs is the maximum amount you would put into a RB20, but this equates to 7 ltrs. I'm thinking aftermarket sump maybe? Doesn't look anything special, just black, but I simply can't think of what else is could be. Could the RB20 be overfilled by such a large amount and not crap itself? Any help would be great as I'm going to be replacing the oil tomorrow and need to know if I need to get another 5ltr bottle...
  4. About 170psi (based off blind_elks 12 kg/cm2) Got conversion off here.
  5. I know you meant this as a joke, but a friend of a friend (I have met him, he's not one of thise non-existant friend of a friends) bought a SW20 MR2 off a Japanese lady who was sent the car by her son, and got $2 grand off the price cause she thought the blow off valve sound meant that something was wrong with the gearbox! Hmm, it actually seems kinda harsh now, ripping off someone who doesn't know about cars... O well, seemed funny at the time
  6. I know it has most likely been covered elsewhere, but if your car is running illegal mods and you have an accident, is your insurance (compo or 3rd party) made void?
  7. Yep, I checked out SEI Motors range on their website, neither a S13 or R32 in sight... Besides, I live reasonably close to the city in the north west, so Dandy isn't exactly the ideal location to check out cars (unless the place had both a GTS-t and SR20DET). I did manage to check out a R32 GTS yesterday, not much go until the top end, but god the RB20 sounds awesome in full flight!
  8. Sorry to semi-highjack the topic, but I am in a very similar boat as Wink, looking at buying one of these two cars. You guys seem to be suggesting that taking both out for a test drive would be a good idea, but I don't really like the idea of wasting a private sellers time just testing their car when I'm probably not going to buy. Does anyone know of a dealership which is likely to have these two models available for testing (in the Melbourne area)? Cheers
